  • SRSLY?

  • Should try a double-sided coffee :)

  • Vatican yes. Then Kosovo.

And I want Cyprus, Ireland, Korea united again. We in Germany had that luck. Others should also get the chance.

  • "Sir it appears they cut it down

You mean, somebody cut it down?

Naaah... surely it was just the wind that moved this chainsaw.

  • Sabotage is a deliberate action aimed at weakening a polity, government, effort, or organization through subversion, obstruction, demoralization, destabilization, division, disruption, or destruction. One who engages in sabotage is a saboteur. Saboteurs typically try to conceal their identities because of the consequences of their actions and to avoid invoking legal and organizational requirements for addressing sabotage.

  • I saw an article the other day

Do not believe the things that are written on toilet walls.

    And on the internet.

    Which is the same.

  • I was too young when I read it. I did not understand it properly, and now I don't like it anymore

  • Oh, sh*t...

  • if a school shooting actually happened and they just sat on the information?

But you do understand that they did not "have the information" in this case, don't you?

    They created a false suspicion.

  • Thank you.

  • but I don't want any more school shootings either.

    ooof

    ...

Do you really, really believe that connection exists?

    ...

Then I want to ask you, please think about who it is. Who is more likely to become a school shooter:

The person venting her frustration to a friend?Or the person who has no friend?

  • that is a completely different situationthough.

Of course it is. You always joke about the things around you. I can't make jokes about students, because I have none. But I have your mommy.

  • You don't make bomb jokes in line at the TSA either.

For several years, I was commuting by plane and I made a joke there, every time, always the same joke, about having a weapon.

Later, I stopped doing that when I saw they were different people there. The frustrated and underpaid kind.

  • you don't joke about shooting kids, period.

    Bullshit.

I can joke about your mommy, and even make bad jokes about her, regardless if she's on her period or not.

Jokes are one of the things that still decides us from the bots.

  • Oh yeah, like how in the late 1930s Garmany instituted a law that citizens were legally obligated to report on neighbors doing anything suspicious

That was still the case until the 1990s in Eastern Germany (GDR). And I don't know how many other places still have it. Now Usa, too.

  • The teacher did nothing wrong either. Making bad jokes and venting your frustration are quite normal things.

If you are human, that is.

  • So many automated services still rely on 2G

  • Welcome to the brave new world.

    Next step: Automated execution.

  • Cultural differences are much too much.

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

Is Google really going to cut throats of ALL the Open Source world?
