  • Shovel Knight is actually fantastic though. You have AAA industry vets failing to meet its standard. Hell, compare SK to Mighty No. 9. Even Megaman can't make a megaman as good as that anymore. Plus it isn't just Shovel Knight, it has the Plague Knight, Specter Knight, and King of Cards sequels which are all genuinely great retro platformers.

    No argument about DF though, and I still need to pick that up now that it has an actual UI.

  • Not usually. "Not" has my tongue against the top of my mouth, just back from the base of the teeth. But if we're talking about Lindt chocolate, that has your tongue against your teeth and you pull it back, making that sharp release of air. That's the thorn sound.

  • Reminds me of this video by a_lillian, a vtuber that speaks through text-to-voice (actually voice-to-text-to-voice I think). It was something they had grown attached to and partially internalized, and the voice was altered with no prior notice. Actually a very heartfelt and fascinating watch.
