  • Cool thanks, my oldest is just getting to the point where he can play computer games (physically) and those are the two he talks about watching videos of with his friends.

  • This is good advice. Separately but related, I imagine couples councilling as a bunch of couples getting together to fix their collective problems.

  • Wanting to protect your kids and struggling with "sheltering vs free reign" type decisions is most of the job of parenting. Whether that is Internet or crossing the street or whatever. Parents who end up overprotective don't always start from a bad place and parents who end up excessively permissive don't always start from a good place. Most people just out there trying to do their best in the face of uncertainty.

  • Why minecraft over Roblox?

  • A shared computer and no Internet when they are supposed to be sleeping is draconian?

  • Just to add on to this comments last point. I have a high range Bosch and it opens after the wash cycle and that dries them really well. Better than the magic rocks the next one up came with at the time.

  • That is so good!

  • Nothing in particular, I think I was just bored/lonely. It was decades ago at this point. I lived in an area and had the kinds of jobs where that wasn't too unusual a thing. I stopped all that extra foolishness after just a couple of years and went on to more normal jobs, eventually college and a family. No outward signs of my misspent youth/young adulthood.

  • Yeah, those five hour energies must be full of preservatives because I'm in good shape these days.

  • 20ish years ago I had a lunch ritual of two of these, a gas station egg or chicken salad sandwich, a shot of well scotch and a beer (coors light or Budweiser) to chase. These are no longer part of my lunch ritual

  • I loled. Thank you

  • In that case running is exclusively a pace shaming venture for me

  • Pace shaming might be built into the entire idea of as race

  • For as long as humans have been planting beans they have been wishing something else would grow instead.

  • I like that it reminds me that I am not aloooOoone

  • It's part of a banjo song. Bender is doing that to imply the mere people are hill billies or trashy poor southerners. Song is Dueling Banjos

  • Yeah, we definitely agree with each other.
