While pettiness sounds awesome here, I'd argue against it. She may need to deal with these people for 18 years or more, depending on how the situation proceeds. Being petty now could lead to long-term animosity that is unneeded.
I say give them the paternity test, see how they react, then get petty if they continue being shitty.
And, unfortunately, this particular media outlet has a habit of it, too. I take what Daily Beast says with a big dose of skepticism until shown otherwise.
We always leave the door open. The amount of mold has gotten awful at times and I even live in a pretty arid climate. I never had this issue with top loaders.
Thanks! I've been frustrated by my LG and won't buy one again. I've disassembled it twice to clean out mold. I think I'll try Bosch next time. I love my Bosch dishwasher.
It can actually be a little hard to find models from major brands without wifi. That said, there is no reason that you have to give it access to your router. I worry that they'll start saying that a wifi connection is mandatory at some point, though.
It is only both sidesing if you don't understand satire. He is pretending to be a right-wing pundit but rephrasing what they say in such a way as to point out how bad the right-wing talking points are.
While I agree that many land lords are predatory, there are reasons that people want to rent sometimes. To give one example, should a college kid be required to buy a home to have a place to live during college?
I'm not going to give more examples right now because it's not really worth my time but there are good reasons that someone might want to rent and that necessitates that there are places available to be rented.
I'd argue for limits on ownership and significant progressive property taxes for ownership beyond a certain number of units.
I deeply appreciate his whistle blower report. I wish someone with his level of integrity hadn't resigned, though. Resigning means you're done fighting. That worked as a protesting previous administration's but means they'll put in someone much worse in this one.
To be fair, though, Trump is deeply unlikable for many people. I've had almost a physical reaction to hearing him speak or seeing him since his debates against Hillary. He's always seemed gross and slimy to me.
In other words, just because you and I see JD as unlikable doesn't mean that MAGA will also find him unlikable. In fact, Vance's approval rating among republicans is 89% favorable while among democrats it is 3% favorable as of the beginning of August.
I don't think they'll deconvert. I do hope they will become apathetic without their "charismatic" leader. I don't think Vance will be able to hold people's attention as well or rile them up to the same degree.
Side note: Calling Trump "charismatic" makes me want to vomit, but apparently he is for some people...
No, it says that hard work "leads to success" not that "hard work is success". Typically, when applied to people, success doesn't mean working hard. It means attaining something the person wants. In the case of a donkey, their personal definition of success is likely different than for a person. That is what I meant by my comment.
If I'm a donkey, I define it as having good apples, tasty carrots, lots of oats, and companionship from other animals and humans.
I'm also amazed that this comment, of all of my comments, is one of my most downvoted on lemmy. I thought it was pretty tame and just pointed out the silliness of the meme.
Edit: Huh, I thought this was a pretty tame comment. I just mean that donkeys likely have a different idea of "success" than people do. I'm not quite sure why this is being taken so negatively. I just thought the meme was kind of silly and dumb.
What is this "if" business? They've been openly doing this for decades. Take REDMAP for example. Democrats have failed to respond.
As long as democrats fail to respond and just play defense, they will continue to need 53% of the vote to win the presidency and will continue losing federal and state legislative majorities.
