  • I'd keep an eye out for any talk of secession by states (I'd expect California to be high up the list). Another signal could be aggression from Canada or Mexico. As soon as relations with allies start to deteriorate, things could get bleak very quickly. Buuuuuut... The US collapsing would be internal warfare. Anything international would just be a lot of carnage and bloodshed.

  • To be clear, I'm the last one to say one shouldn't invest in money saving innovation. But the breaking even should be number one priority. I, for instance have all kinds of energy savers in my house that have cost me several hundreds. They'll only be returned in a few years and I need to manage them properly.

  • Still cheaper than getting a 3D printer and filament and stuff. And CAD/CAM software.

  • Dev is a messy playground several months behind prod

  • Studied computer science, still uses TikTok. Right.

  • I used the 1070 Ti for 1440p60 medium settings for some time and now upgraded to a 4070.

Considering that range I think something like a 5700XT or 7600XT should be fine.

  • If you want to store your map preferences, save the preferences to your account and make sure you're logged in.

I'm not saying anything like this is preferable or whatever but there's also little sense in removing all semblance of user experience in favour of removing power from tech giants.

  • I understand the why of this but this is not an improvement. I suppose search engines should ask you which maps provider you want and then show results based on that.

  • S&P takes the 500 most profitable companies in the US and builds an index off of that. S&P usually goes about 7% return but markets are very bullish on AI. It's similar to the dotcom bubble so definitely not without risk.

Currently nvidia is driving the S&P up but nvidia might crash one day like cisco did back then.

  • Strategy wise it's good to mention that you approach this as a savings thing so you deposit, say, monthly. That way you compound your interest and that can really ramp up quickly.

  • S&P 500 is pretty solid.

  • Yeah so that seems pretty dark

  • None of this explains why they share just one brain cell

  • Another one is the movie 'The Fountain' which is played excellently by Hugh Jackman.

  • I've been watching Shrinking and it has a lot of those moments

  • Should we point out that in this context it's 'save', not 'safe'? If you're going to correct someone's spelling, make sure your own is impeccable.

  • Some casual video games I'll turn off the game audio and just listen to music instead
