Working on my latest videogame, very early stages but it's coming along nicely.
I also sot up a git server at home and a ssh access key on my el-cheapo laptop and I feel very good every time I push a branch from it to home.
I do have performance issues with Rider though (JetBrains C# IDE), I have disabled basically everything except syntax coloring and still it's just lagging insanely all the time. 20 seconds i7 quad core peak because I (shudder) select text, or erase some letters in a comment. Aaaaaa! If anyone knows a C# ide that works well with Godot on linux I'm all ears. Syntax coloring, debugging & autocomplete if possible, FOSS would be fantastic (microsoft code thingy sucks ass btw IMO).

But with thousands of the smartest engineers and researchers working on it, we might get a smarter AI. I mean the human brain thinks in similar ways. +a lot of other stuff of course, but maybe that stuff can be emulated, simulated, for "the next step" forward (still no agi lol).
You are 100% correct IMO for the AI stuff, just a question, what's bitnet? Is it some supposed bitcoin-killer (because that's not going to happen, IMO).
I also think we're on the cusp of "having enough" personal computing power with the usual exceptions, take a bit, give a bit.
Our mobile phones are close to what's needed for most people (8GB, 4k, gaming, ...). Or so I think!
My 2014 kangoo probably have like 3 sensors. I already changed an expensive turbo sensor and the one detecting if your seatbelt is making it beep for 3 minutes whatever you'd do before stopping every time I drive. I wonder if it's rational to fix it, costwise.
I bet you can make a cheap "AI" chip for using the trained model, it seems the training is the ruinous thing today.

Yeah I hear you, but the 51% attack exists. Like if you use paper ballots, you're safer and it consumes less energy. There is just nothing better by using a blockchain, and paper ballots (for example) can be verified by anyone, the blockchain not so much.
Same, it's a tool everyone will use one day, it's just bad today.
Remember the first mobile phones? Sucked dirt, and we're stupidly expensive. Then they got cheaper and better, today they almost give them away and the charge lasts a week and you can phone almost anywhere on the planet.
