Thats really a socially dependent statement. Historically when catholicism and protestantism were being forced on people during historical periods of colonialism, they were very concessionary if it ultimately adopted people into the faith that they were trying to push. They really let plenty of things go in terms of merging Christianity with indigenous belief systems and cosmologies. Just look at sanataria or the merging of voodoo with Christianity in the Caribbean and the southern US as one example. These are mixed belief systems, that are technically primarily Christianity, that are still often practiced today
European hard exclusion of various Christian perspectives from one another I think served as an example to later Europeans that just wanted to broadly legitimize their particular strain as easily as possible. It was easier to bend the religion than try to get people to give up on their already held beliefs. Especially when were talking about an era when Catholicism and Protestantism were large parts of the political justification for ruling monarchs. Jesus being “king of kings” said just as much to legitimize earthly kings as it did about revering Jesus. It’s a vast departure from the modern situation, but back then if too many people under a Catholic monarch suddenly agreed more with this Martin Luther guy or whoever, that could be the end of that monarch

He definitely despises being in the public eye or the center of attention to some degree. He also seems to not really have much awareness of things going on around him in general anymore. He really should not be in such a stressful position in his current state of health, and I doubt he wants to be. Pride is probably the sole thing keeping him from stepping down. It definitely isnt his love for being in the role, that is for sure

400lbs is a lot of weight to have poorly distributed directly over the very tail end of a car. Sure, a car can easily handle 2 200lb people sitting in the rear of it with little issue, but their weight is in an expected place and well dispersed. Having half of a 400lb fridge sticking out of a trunk where it is largely unsupported means that a great deal more stress than just 400lbs is ultimately coming down on that part of the suspension
The average payload of a small sedan like that is about 850lbs, which would include the driver. So while were probably talking 600lbs-700lbs of payload between the driver, the added equipment weight for police modifications, and the fridge, that number also assumes normal distribution of weight within the vehicle. Im no engineer, but I would bet that having the weight of the fridge (which is the bulk of it) sticking out of the car halfway is probably pushing the sedan beyond tolerance for weight in some ways. But I could be wrong
I think this issue is somewhat more complicated than what is described by iconoclasm. Trump and the conservative wing of American politics are simultaneously destroying certain aspects of what is usually referred to as American civil religion while still upholding massive amounts of it at the same time. For example its not like they have changed the flag, or that they dont talk about the founding fathers as some godlike figures, etc.
Iconoclasm would imply that the Trumpian cult religion is fully attempting to supplant the longstanding civil religion, but that isnt quite the case. They dont want to stop revering the founding fathers and say we should only revere trump, or say we should get rid of the American flag and replace it with the MAGA flag. The trump cult wouldnt exist without the most rabid adherents to tenets of American civil religion; belief that they are the one true patriots, etc. Progressives and the left wing in general tend to be less attached to such ideas. For example, theyre generally more willing to view the founding fathers as fallible humans rather than as figures above any form of criticism.
Rather than something that meets the definition of iconoclasm, this seems (to me, at least) to show how the MAGA cult is a form of cancerous outgrowth from American civil religion. It stemmed from ACR, and now has become so cancerous that it has started cannibalizing the very thing that spawned it in the first place. But all the while the cult members will go on believing that they are still perfect adherents to the civil religion that inspired them to destroy icons of that civil religion. Its hard to call it basic iconoclasm if one thing is not attempting to outright supersede something else, like in the traditional political example of a new ruler eliminating statues of their predecessor
The logic also falls through not only on safety grounds, but on the fact that legally in most places you technically have to signal for three full seconds before changing lanes, and maintain signaling until you have been in the lane for a couple seconds. So in total you have to be signaling for like 6 seconds minimum, otherwise you could still be ticketed for it.
Although realistically the only time you would see a ticket is if you caused an accident by not doing it
The thing is that there is a snake eating its tail type of logic for why so many investors are dumping money into it. The more it is interacted with, the more it is trained, and then the better it allegedly will be. So these companies push shoehorning it into everything possible, even if it is borderline useless, on the assumption that it will become significantly more useful as a result. Then be more valuable for further implementation, making it worth more.

Republicans have always polled as responsible for every government shutdown in recent memory. Its doubtful that it will be any different this time, especially when the dems have stuck hard to the one issue of subsidies.
The republicans can tell as many lies as they want, but this is one of the few circumstances where their lies cant override the lived experience of their supporters. They know their healthcare will evaporate or triple in cost. Even their dumbass voters know that their representatives are doing them dirty here
