  • His expression in that thumbnail says: "oh shit, what has my life become?!"

  • The idiocy never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think I've seen it all, they find a new and ridiculous way to exhibit it.

  • Did people genuinely think they had created a bespoke bit of hardware? Wow.

  • Haha, fair enough.

  • Holy shit does this resonate!

I spend hours each week hand-holding, manipulating, and sometimes fighting with LLMs. We are encouraged to use them at work, but it's always a coin toss. Will it nail the task at hand on the first attempt? Or will it fall down a black hole of bad assumptions and getting stuck in stupid loops?

And it's not due to 'bad prompts' as the kool aid drinkers frequently claim. I've had enough practice with them now, and I've had others review them and give a thumbs up.

'Botsitting'... I like that. Very apt.

  • 'Gooner' = Arsenal FC fan. We've used that term for decades (it started out as a sarcastic variation of 'gunner' used by opposition fans, but we adopted it). This stupid new slang meaning for the word can fuck off.

  • Glorious white robots.

  • This the same guy who Trump gave a lot of authority to and a ton of money and resources at, and who had Stephen Miller facilitating his goals... and who still failed spectacularly and was kicked to the curb?

  • "our country can never be great."

His opponents will have a field day with that soundbite. It won't change any minds, but they'll have fun with it nonetheless.

  • And the interviewer he was crashing out at was a woman? What a surprise!

  • Good point!

  • Based on where brick and mortar retail is right now (and assuming e-commerce continues to thrive), there won't be much conversion of the data centers into anything useful due to how many buildings are already sitting idle. Maybe some will become distribution centers. But most will probably sit dormant and slowly crumble into disrepair.

  • Exactly. Catholics will be next. Then Orthodox and Coptic church members, and yeah the JWs. Oh, and the liberal Lutherans and Episcopalians too.

And then the evangelicals will start cannibalizing each other. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if some of them unify into a single church that worships Trump as a prophet (profit? Haha), and that group viciously takes down any other evangelicals still standing.

Hopefully things don't get to that point.

  • The wild thing is that they were always going to turn on the Mormons. The evangelicals fucking hate the LDS Church, and they've been pretty candid about that for a long time. But the Mormons so badly wanted to be in the conservative Christian gang they convinced themselves they would always be accepted.

The evangelicals treated the Mormons like useful idiots. Now they think they have no use for them. So they've become just idiots.

  • Plus Idaho, which also has a lot of Mormon influence.

  • Incoming angry tweet deluge.

  • Apparently they are also hiring back some of them.

29% of firms have already rehired for AI-cut roles, while 55% of executives regret replacing workers with AI. From Big Tech to fast food, the AI revolution promised efficiency—instead, it delivered a costly lesson in human judgment.

  • Great question. The answer probably depends on this administration's whim.
