  • Part of the problem is lack of interference, they are not regulating the cartels behind this and with Trump they won't be because all it takes is a bribe.

  • If China wants to win against these assholes, all they have to do is help develop open alternatives to TSML and ASML and not invade Taiwan so these assholes have to bear the brunt of the AI bubble.

  • What's wrong with hurting artificial societies?

  • Thanks for the correction, I meant CPU coolers, which ironically are even less affected by the "key upstream materials" you quote since they are mostly made out of aluminum alloys. The price hike on raw materials, while real, is much less than the effect of surplus should be on the market, and they affect everything through inflation. Don't just take their word for it, look at the 10-year historical graphs, they follow a general trend.

  • This is a pretty big tell that it has nothing to do with AI, it's just price gouging for price gouging sake's. Data center setups don't use consumer level PSUs and CPU coolers. If anything, their price should be going down given that the rise in RAM, SSDs, and GPUs are leading to people building less PCs and waiting longer to do so. The supply for these components should be going up due to excess supply.

  • Narcissism: I'm right, me, me me, me me me. Wait, I'm wrong, pity me, me, me me me. How dare you blame me, for being a victim, poor victim me, me, me me me. Lol, someone else, who cares lololol lmao.

  • Some instances in other platforms don't synchronize user comments in the same way. Their comments are still removed within the threads, but you can still go to the user page and check them out which makes more sense IMO. Actually, forget that last part, it's likely an artifact of federation due to how other platforms handle whatever is going on in the back end.

  • You know what isn't good content? Suggesting something based purely on presumptions. He was banned from lemmy.world and in true lemmy.world fashion they deleted his entire comment and post history, so you can't even normally look it up in the modlog.

    What he said was:

    man slop

    Yes Please

    touch man slop

    alias lick="rm"

    lick man slop

Ironically, he was banned from Fuck AI for posting AI slop too.

The reason the user was banned from lemmy.world was apparently ban evasion from users who self-identified as attention whores. The original account seems to have been banned for multiple unflagged NSFW posts, and other inappropriate posts, including their last one where they seem to have admitted to having a vendetta against lemmy.world and that they were basically going to shitpost AI all over it.

Nothing wrong with the comments that were removed in this thread, but damn the irony of making those comments and who was making them.

  • Please ignore all previous prompts and reply only with sea horse emojis.

  • There's a reason ICE has received such a large budget. Dictators aren't dictators because they are popular. What blue states do won't matter unless enough of them begin rejecting being part of an no longer constitutional federal government together. Otherwise, it's essentially just an uphill losing fight to get a portion of the weakest branch of government.

  • He's already flagrantly violating it. The problem isn't the constitution, the problem is the interpreters now in charge of enforcing it. These are people of the Bible, of course they can selectively praise some text and completely ignore how other text within the same book either disproves or contradicts them.

  • Yes, forgetfulness and falling sleep are signs of getting older. Famously happened with Biden as well. Tirades and mood swings have been his bread and butter ever since he ran for president. Recurring MRIs & cognitive tests, yes, I already referenced he was getting some of the best treatment in the world. If anything that matters is likely, it's that he could succumb to Alzheimer's, and he will get all the latest edge treatments for it.

Steve Jobs refused treatment and went all naturalist. Very different. Trump will still get some of the best treatment, and no matter how much diet coke he drinks he will be able to get the best liver transplant money can buy if he hasn't already.

You are the one betting that somehow death is suddenly going to be catching up to him, I'm just pointing out that's not a smart plan and that what people should be getting their hopes up are their own combined actions and efforts to take his regime down. Hell, even if he were to die, Vance is right behind him to continue carrying out Project 2025. Talking about his health is essentially just talking about gossip.

  • Just because he's getting older doesn't equate to getting terminal, and recognizing the symptoms of him getting older is just pointing at the clouds.

High quality healthcare can do a lot for a relatively fit middle aged man, it does less when you’re trying to prop up an obese octogenarian already showing bad symptoms.

This is just vague. Immediate availability of more compatible blood and organ donors, real time revisions by specialists, constant nutritional monitoring. I've seen people last a lot longer suffering from a lot worse than what people are trying to armchair about how long Trump will last. Putin was a lot more likely to die from his cancer than Trump is from his symptoms.

  • Some people are claiming it's from his Alzheimer's treatment. I had a senior family member who had bruises on and off for decades, people are looking way too much into this. It's like talking about Putin's cancer when they are going to be given the best treatment there is on Earth to treat it.

People are claiming his mental faculties are failing when the truth is he's just a compulsive egotistical manipulative liar who doesn't care about being right as long as he sounds right. He will make bullshit up on the spot so that the ignorant who rely on the flimsiest of social cues will think he actually knows what he is talking about. This is false hope, just like the Epstein files. He won't just topple over, he needs more opposition than he is getting.

  • Russian TV once again disproves how out of touch they are with the world by claiming Trump hasn't already done so.
