  • It's always weird when we actually get good legislation passed because of this.

  • Even if it benefits big players more, copyright still benefits small artists

  • People still cheat in smaller classroom settings.

  • You're advocating for quantity over quality. You will easily find situations where students don't learn in small groups because the professor lecturing that group isn't a good professor.

  • One newspaper is enough to get a shallow understanding of something, but it's not enough to get a more nuanced understanding. Even then, not every newspaper covers every story, so you'll need multiple even for a shallow understanding about XYZ.

  • In fairness, I haven't found a good paid news aggregator that has those paid sources. I sincerely doubt that most people can pay $10/month each to read NYT, The Economist, Bloomberg, WSJ, their local big newspaper, Wired, and whatever else might be useful.

  • I've read some takes that basically said the following:

The market for devs will shrink, but the market for senior devs will grow greatly.

Assuming that's true, you won't have to worry if you enjoy programming and are going to actively gain tons of skills in your free time.

If you won't be that person, then I'm not sure if CS is good for you.

  • This is such an awful idea as it stops us from buying international packages from anywhere. The 'loophole' is already closed for China.

Chinese Restaurant Chain Apologizes and Offers Thousands of Refunds After 2 Diners Urinated in Soup: Reports

  • He means separate companies with few or no ties with each other.

  • Even if it's a recent phone, new flagship phones cost less than a month's rent in many places. It's not like phones are unattainable for homeless people.

  • Or go to protests that are better organized?

  • Never heard this in my life

  • I don't disagree, but Premium does let you skip over frequently skipped sections.

  • Battery-powered vehicles require an unreasonable amount of water to control a fire. 1 burning Tesla needs 1 fire truck of water, so imagine what a bigger vehicle would need.

  • Everyone else is only talking about the scummy affiliate revenue stealing, but that's been public info for a while.

The more alarming stuff is that they partner with businesses to manage the coupon codes shown on Honey. If a business doesn't want consumers to have discounts below a certain percentage, they can remove those coupons from Honey. This means that Honey no longer does the thing that it's advertised to do, and they're getting paid affiliate revenue after lying to consumers.

  • The biggest issue that this video brings up is that businesses can filter out certain coupon codes if the discount is too high

  • I just call that my kitchen junk drawer lol

  • YouTube is not replaceable because it's the only reliable way for VOD creators to monetize their content effectively without a paywall. No other VOD platform comes close.

If creators can't monetize their content effectively, they're not going to upload to that platform.

  • Almost every home has a junk drawer or other junk container. Mine has multiple.

All that being said, I don't think I've seen a drawer as confusing as this.
