  • What is your least favourite thing about the fediverse or lemmy?

  • Having to block 30 different communities because they're all literally the same community.

    It's even worse for NSFW communities. We don't need eleventy billion communities for the same super niche porn content.

    That and people posting the same things on multiple communities because it technically fits even though there's already a niche community specifically for that topic.

  • Life is inherently just suffering. Everything you do to prevent suffering simply prolongs it. Coupled with the fact that most forms of life need to consume other forms of life just to survive.

    Even in the most beautiful ecosystem you could find it's a constant war between species just for basic survival with no real meaning behind it

  • I was told by everyone I knew growing up and even now that I was weird, a freak, different. So I just kinda went with it.

    To be fair to all of them they're completely correct it just took me awhile to see why. I have to constantly remind myself that I don't think like most people or act like most people to the point it's instantly obvious to pretty much everyone around me

  • Got banned on reddit for telling someone to crawl back in their hole.

    They were trying to defend circumcision while admitting female ventilation mutilation was bad. I pointed out the hypocrisy of that mindset and finished with "now crawl back into your hole so the rest of us don't have to deal with you".

    Instant permaban.

    I was already on my way out anyway because of the whole 3rd party app thing so this just kickstarted my emigration.

  • Parents, what are the most annoying or outright frustrating thing that your kids do? Do you ever hate them for it?

  • Technically not my kid but I'm marrying his mom so close enough.

    He never stops making noise. Whether it's talking, babbling, screeching, squealing, squeaking. The only time this kid is quiet is when he's asleep.

    It wouldn't bother me so much if what he said had substance but most of it is just him repeating what people around him are saying which makes having a conversation around him infuriating.

    I don't hate him for it because he's 8 and has undiagnosed adhd but I've definitely fantasized about throwing him out of a window once or twice.

  • When/how frequently do you replace your phone with a new one?

  • I use my phone until it is completely inoperable so a few years.

    I once used a phone where half the screen was broken but the touch sensors still worked and I'd memorized where all the buttons were so I could still receive and send calls and texts.

    People that replace electronic devices that still work confuse and annoy me.
