  • You're not wrong, but let's not lose sight of the fact that the ratio is decidedly in favor of ultra-Conservatives

  • As someone who left Fundamentalist Christianity, it is exhausting. Your paradigm is constantly "under attack," because reality has this way of not giving a fuck about your paradigm. And as long as people are generally trying their best to exist within and discover/communicate that reality, the hand of some nebulous, ever-present enemy will always be against you.

It's fortunate for them that they're able to tamp down the cognitive dissonance, or they'd likely stress themselves to an early heart attack.

  • Opinion:

Stopped reading there. And based on the comments, I don't think I'm missing much.

  • There's even some options, like Heroic and Junk Store, that allow you to install some anti-cheat.

  • Right, but that's exactly it. It's still only just anecdotes and subjective claims. It might be that it's indeed a valid form of treatment, but the evidence we have doesn't seem to point to that as a rational conclusion.

Whatever you personally experience might in fact be a placebo effect or confirmation bias.

  • Legend

  • Oh, I know. I was agreeing and my own two cents

  • Purity culture affects everyone in different ways. Sex bots, toys sold in Walmart, YouTubers having sex toy sponsors...all of that adds up to tearing down these old social norms that have roots in religious dogma, and it's long past time we left that archaic thinking behind.

  • I'm pretty sure they're Hynix C-bin. About middle of the road, as far as OC'ing goes. Unfortunately, not Samsung B's, so I can't really push these too far (and there's a manufacturing flaw in my mobo that causes the CPU temp sensor to freeze if mem voltage is too high).

  • (Sorry for the late reply. My instance had fallen behind yours until recently.)

Yeah, that was kind of my suspicion. I pretty much only did primary and secondary timings, but I did raise the Infinity Fabric to 1967, so there's definitely some changes that could affect the IMC.

This was my first PC build, so it will be my first CPU upgrade, and I have no paradigm of what to expect! Sounds like I might just have to back up the timings and drop to JDEC for the upgrade. And who knows? Maybe the new CPU will be able to support the XMP from the manufacturer.

    Thanks!

  • If y'all don't like it, encourage your friends in Texas to fucking vote. This kangaroo court gets to be the reliable Conservative rubber stamp it is, because they're appointed by whatever president is in power when vacancies become available.

Biden was able to appoint two, and Obama appointed two, Clinton one. Bush Jr. appointed four, Reagan appointed two, and Trump appointed fucking six, which explains why they constantly capitulate to big business.

Voting matters. There is so much at stake.

  • I'ma run prime95 for a bit first.

  • 3666 produces a good latency with C16, and I was able to boost Infinity Fabric up past the default to 1967 (it's complicated, but it's something you can do under certain circumstances). I had to get the highest speeds I could manage, because the original build was a stopgap before GPU prices dropped.

Unless I can get the RAM to work at C14 @ 3600, it won't be much of an improvement over what I have currently.

My stability suite is a mix of OCCT, TM5, and Prime95. Takes about 3-4hrs to get through all of them. 😅

  • That's a good point. I dunno if my current BIOS version would recognize the 5700X3D, so might need to check on that.

  • I already have a WiFi 6 mesh system, but I still want one.

  • Thanks! I'll be checking this out later

  • It was okay. Walz was the nice dad. Vance was the slimy, mudslinging worm he is, a true politician in every negative sense of the word.

Walz was too nice and charitable towards Vance and gave him credit on certain issues, and Vance didn't return it in kind.

Vance lied through his teeth and wouldn't answer a single goddamn question. Spent most of his time saying how terrible Kamala was and almost none about how Trump would be good for people.

I left thinking it was an okay performance from both, but I suspect people will remember Vance being a greasy little weasel and Walz being a nice dad. Overall, a net positive for Harris/Walz, but only a little.

  • And this is why I haven't installed Teams on my personal computer. If it was less invasive, I would, but it's just potential bossware masquerading as "productivity tools."

That shit stays on my work computer, and I just VPN into it.
