  • It's really hard to understand some of it. It might've been fun if I had good math instructors for every class at every step of the way from algebra to ordinary differentials. Because so much material builds on what was taught before, it gradually got more and more incomprehensible until I gave up trying to understand it halfway through cal 2 and just memorized the important parts enough to pass. Besides that, I rarely see applications in day to day life past basic algebra. It's not like I'm gonna take careful measurements of how fast my car's going to derive my exact fuel consumption rate. It's easier to just go off the odometer and gas pump readings between fills for instance.

  • At this rate we'll have free credit monitoring for life! Will it help when it detects someone used your sensitive information to take out a huge loan in your name? Fuck no! They'll just tell you it happened and that you should do something about it.

  • Where is this from?

  • All this is great if you're working remote. At least you can be far away from a cubicle or even worse - an open office while doing all this nonsense.

  • All those Trump-voting farmers in red states sure hate us blue state folks but they love our money.

  • He probably has a sex scandal covered up already. There isn't a normal and well adjusted member in that family.

  • "Maxwell Cardboard Box" has a great ring to it. It'll sell with a small tin of Robusta coffee inside a refrigerator-sized box.

  • Schumer will cave eventually. He's just waiting for the right moment to say "polls suggest it's not a good time to let the government sit idle" or some other crap.

  • There are a lot of lethargic people who think "Liking" a post will change the world for the better. Canceling Disney services is one of the lowest effort things we collectively could do as it also provides the side benefit of removing a monthly expense in these overpriced times.

  • Who keeps voting for this clown?! His constituents keep disappointing me like Ted Cruz's.

  • Wtf is wrong with her who regrets not inviting a Nazi over for dinner?

  • And cars.

  • The engineers and scientists in my neck of the woods are very concerned about the shit that's going on. The unionized floor techs on the other hand lean far more favorably to the orange dolt.

  • Make America Great (Depression) Again.

  • He's already getting the Fed to lower interest rates at a time when the market's running too hot from the AI bubble and the cost of basic goods and services are ballooning thanks to his stupid bullshit tariffs. The next market downturn's gonna be a depression.

  • Shooting is America's real pastime after all.

  • Disgraceful. Yet another government gives up its values contrary to what its people want in order to suck Trump's tiny mushroom dick.

  • Reconciliation was only part of the equation. Every single Confederate traitor should have hanged from a noose. Every piece of pro-slavery propaganda should have been burned down. The lionization of Confederate generals and politicians should have been stopped. The romantization of the South during the Civil War should have been stamped out at its earliest signs. The racism used to justify the enslavement of black people and later to terrorize, disenfranchise, economically harm, and murder them should have been made illegal from the very start of Reconstruction.

All this evil slowly rotted away at the social fabric of this country until where we are now. We now have those who wish to racially purify this country through increasingly violent and less democratic means, those who wish to stop them but are paralyzed by the legal hurdles put in place by Confederate apologists, and the apathetic ones who are too tired and burned out to even know the world is burning around them.
