  • Good question. Slender is a better term. Their skeletal structure is horizontally compact, more so than a Border Collie. Scientists can estimate musculature based on the size and shape of attachment points, but it's all speculative.

  • Plus they were much smaller than depicted in movies. They are estimated to have weighed about 15 kg and were about 2m long, but over half of that was tail. A Border Collie has about the same body length and a much thicker build.

  • Absolutely. I have an overarching theorem about US "Conservative" politicians and donors that I've been challenging for decades but remains unchanged.

    Tr;dr: the top brass are all fucking grifters.

    Their primary strategy is doing whatever is most effective and expedient for increasing their socioeconomic power, even if that directly contradicts their previous and current actions and alleged principles. They're only ostensibly aligned with conservative values because they're the best for meeting that goal, especially because true social conservative voters are overall both less educated and intelligent, and therefore less critical.

    Since noticing that, their actions are all quite consistent and predictable and the hypocrisy rarely surprises me.

  • It was literally fucking YEARS of me dealing with variations of "he's not a fascist! He's just an impotent wannabe dictator, we'll be fine. You're overreacting!" from acquaintances and family. Not friends, I don't have friends that stupid.

    I will stand arm in arm with every person who mocked me for "being a worrier", not just because it's the only way out of this, but because it's the best way, maybe the only way, to build a better future.

    With that having been said, I hope each and every one of them gets a terrible case of genital lice at some point in their lives.

    Are you suggesting my somewhat sardonic comment that the historically terrible party has managed to become so awful and vile that I "miss" them being just terrible is representative of why Democrats are moving to the right?

    That's the only interpretation I can fathom and I fail to see the logic if I'm correct.
