  • Discissions of this are so completely over-serious... We're looking to breakdown nuance in an autopsy document and the guy who "won" is telling reporters, "Your face is dumb, okay? And to tell you the truth it very actually looks like how a butt looks. You're a real nasty bitch woman for saying a face like that. My uncle you know, he did face, a genius they said even probably, but your face... bitch face. [Wet fart]".

We're a failed nation, it's a hard reality to confront, but it is reality. The freightened idiots feel untouchable, this won't resolve with reasoned debate with strong citations.

Civility is already lost, by definition the Democratic party won't do the law breaking required to compete with this disaster. And that probably means the only win wouldn't fell like a victory at all, because we'd have to stoop so low. The only candidate that might compete today is someone who breaks into the white house ground and writes, "trump kisses my balls" on the walls in his own shit. America is captured.

  • This isn't a fun game anymore...

  • Cool Joe. This person spoke with unchecked righteous indignation and just a booming unearned confidence - all while they are vacant when it cones to the nuance of the discussed situation. In that scenario, my goal isn't a respectful exchange of ideas with a peer, it's something to maybe knock them off the unchecked BS they are likely spewing left and right in real life and online. As represented by their expressed opinion here at least, this person is the third person in the sinking boat in that well circulated cartoon - and that person sucks.

We're all frustrated with the lack of action in places before and presently, that said there's a reality that informs how and why a lot was done (or not done) and if a person doesn't care enough to educate themselves of that enough to inform their online vitriol, then they aren't expressing a mature POV - they instead express something more similar to a child's approach to a complex problem before their brain has fully formed. So I'll likely continue on, but appreciate the conversation.

  • Do timelines, projected with appeals and delays, mean this will get to SCOTUS right before the election?

  • Last admin didn't do enough AND you have a child's point of view of the nuance of that actual situation and the board of governors. Also, as others have pointed out, DeJoy is gone, but only to go back to privately grifting. Further, last admin was the most progressive of my lifetime, but it still wasn't enough. You seem to gauge success based on your gut and guess what your gut is full of, friend?

Try not to speak with righteous, blustering confidence while your head is all the way up your ass... The words get muffled and it's hard to hear you embarrassing yourself.

  • You're bringing a lot of personal momentum to your responses obviously. My point was clear, state specific issues to allow the potential for specific answers. If you're moving in good faith, that's the approach.

The perspective here is one of someone resistant to change, blaming FOSS as an easier scapegoat. Always simplest to blame the tool over the operator... And often, that "dumbshit, broken printer that won't print!!!" Just wasnt plugged in.

    Your rebuttal is borked.

  • I appreciate you attempting expansion, I will say it is still difficult when you're asked for specific detail and your response consistently States generalities like:

"lack of support" - meaning what, feature isn't there at all? Doesn't display existing tables from uploaded excel docs?

"has serious issues" - meaning... what are they?

    "results in issues" - ...

    "...is borked" - c'mon

and "incredibly slow " - relative to what? Double time of expected from excel? Triple? Extra two seconds per attempt?

You're using subjective terms that mean people can't A) determine if you're problem will impact them as well and B) you're not describing your perceived issues well enough to allow experts reading along here, now or in the future, to offer you actual solutions or alternatives.

That considered, it makes you come off as a person who doesn't want their perceived problem solved.

  • Probably more credibility if you actually give real, specific examples of what you cannot do on Libre Calc that you require?

  • President, strike thyself.

  • Again, if you have this energy, direct it at solving the problems you perceive or directly supporting the people who are capable of solving those problems.

Bots are a universal problem, theocratical solutions abound from every different angle, it's a choice by those in charge of the other places to not implement those solutions. So either lead the movement to keep Lemmy different OR find the person(s) leading and support them with encouragement, funds and/or volunteer your time to make theory work less.

  • If you truly have energy for this, focus it on growing the platform overall. That naturally adds more and more diversity of opinion. I don't think the problem you mention is real, I think it's more a commentary on how you process what you see generally.

  • Yes. That is exactly the point that was being made. You go through life with a bag on your head while telling everyone else they can't see. Then you go to sleep proud of yourself.

  • Your mom's body was in a war to abort you, it lost and we are all now the casualties of that war for having to exist with you here.

  • Remember it's always a confession from him. So he's screaming here that he wears shoes 4 sizes too large and has the inside modified to fit him. Because he has a weird little dink in his diaper.

  • Well said. No shortage of forced panic, sacrificial boogeymen to fixate on for the worst among us

  • Oh damn, harsh bud... Did Covid radicalize you?

  • Covid didn't "radicalize" anyone? It was just an opportunity for bad people, with more typically controlled PR images to that point, to show the world exactly who they had always been.

All these goons also have multiple performative "arguments" over the years to muddy the conversation about how evil they actually are. Vance called trump America's Hitler, elon basically called trump a pedophile publicly post-doge and at the end of the day, they are all still hanging out ruining the world. None of it was sincere.

Would advise you to stop eating that little trail of curated breadcrumbs they leave for you, it's a cynical game and they think you're stupid enough to buy it.

  • That goon has his DNA all over bluesky, and he has a long history with elon. Cling to semantics if you need to, but the spirit of what I said was true. If they could get away with the optics of dorsey heading bluesky in that "exodus" moment, they would have. But all knew that would leave a bad taste in the public's mouth and slow/stall adoption, so they had the charade they presented.
