  • Maybe he's forced Jezebel into bed and killed the kids.

  • thanks and will get to that stuff at some point, but I've got a few games to play atm

  • That's a fucking weird thing to say every time a parent and child get in the vehicle.

  • The witch hunt vibes seems apt, the maleficarum got really grim in the wake of the printing press and we've got new meme makers now and the pitchforks are being sharpened.

The article kinda hits it home, it's generic hysterical slop and a solid treatment of the matter will likely be available to the public for £300 from an academic press in a year or three if they promise not to share it. Then an llm will eat it and I will be able to get a summary, mixed in with lemmy comments, for my daily token ration from China: the circle of life.

Afaiu it's somewhat easier to wreck the book and one would imagine there's a few books cutting about that whilst not yet fully digital are also not on the endangered species list.

Sharing the knowledge for the greater good is a no go I think, especially in the USA. Me or you can do it on slsk but if a rich corp tries to do it they'll get shafted fast & hard and the massive academic presses will not tolerate upskilling the poor.

  • I don't think they are devouring the Garima Gospels, Cuneiform tablets and deleting hieroglyphs from granite but the worry is if we don't stop them now it's a slippery slope and the VHS tapes will be next.

  • Jesus being readied for the cross by the sinful woman seems kinda 4-6th century 50 Shades of Hyssop and worth a peek, Jacob of Serugh & co.

  • slop2 would have been a better name

  • no, just enjoy your cool phone

if you do care about privacy, don't use the phone

even if you don't care about your bank account, the bank do and will ID verify you and have considered vpn's

  • 'Harry Potter publisher' seems more the clickbait:

"Bloomsbury, which is home to the bestselling novelists Sarah J Maas and Susanna Clarke as well as JK Rowling, said it had 14,087 titles listed within the settlement, with a proposed compensation of about $3,000 a title."

    You wouldn't download a pdf.....

  • He pops up in briefly in Marcion's first New Testament in around 140CE and then becomes some kinda patriarch figure in the later 27 book Catholic New Testament and via St Irenaeus.

Scripture is awesome but for the love of God don't be reading the Catholic 27 book NT's like they are history textbooks.

We have no idea who St Paul was or what he wrote either, it's fine.

  • I'm struggling to find anything that confirms Peter was a real person.

If you just swallow the sacred history of the RCC and run with 'maybe the bible is true' but that works with loads of religions.

You surely can't be reading the Book of Acts as history?

  • Nice, I'm a bit rusty of the models but I do tend prefer a short handle on a DE.

  • Yeah, not quite as shiny as Keith's.

The GEM 1912 are pretty much the same razor afair, the 1914's cool too.

  • All time favs:

    1912 Single Edge Ever Ready

1940's Double Edge Style Gillette Superspeed

Solingen 6/8th hollow grind vintage straight & a hefty old Sheffield wedge-ish

I would like a kamisori one day but haven't bought any shaving gear in maybe a decade or so now.

I think yours is a Merkur 510c double edge safety raxor, not a model I've used but Merkur's are awesome and I think I have DE Merkur head somewhere.

  • This is the fun stuff.

Things were looking really grim for a decade or so of l33t h@zz0rs installing a window manager on Arch BTW and wanking over it but nature is healing and even the stupid & lazy no longer need to just copy and paste wiki lipstick onto pigs and instead create cool stuff instead of just being consumers.

  • Either is fine.

I tend towards ubuntu lts pro with automatic upgrades and reboots. Much like the guide you mention pretty much everything targets ubuntu lts.
