    When do you go to sleep & why?

  • I never go to sleep at the same time because my shifts at work are never the same.

    In a week it can go to sleep from 21h wake up at 0430, to sleep at 6h wake up at 18 max.

    Same with meal time. Don’t work irregular shifts on the long run, its exhausting and bad for health.

  • Most of political posts are about the US so with only a few keywords you can filter out 80% of the shit news (mine are Trump, Musk, Democrat, Republican).

    Then you add some if you want (Israel ? Palestine ? Russia ? Or some of your country specific themes)

    The only problem is that if the words are on an image and not title it won’t be filtered. But you can fine tune your blacklist with time by blocking url, users, communities and instances.

    That + mostly browsing by subscribed made my lemmy the perfect happy bubble.

    www is "double vé double vé double vé" in France, but often said "vévévé" in Switzerland. I believe that’s coming from the German speaking part of the country and adapted to French language.

  • I just have my vault default location saved on a cloud drive. iCloud in my case as I have an IPhone but I guess it could be done with any cloud or owncloud if you have a server.

    I used to use Git, but it is easier to just move the vault on a network/cloud drive as you don’t need to pull/push. As obsidian auto save when you type a character this makes the sync instantaneous with zero effort.

  • I made the switch from YNAB cause !fucksubscriptions@lemmy.world

    I only had a small understanding problem at the beginning but then I quickly managed to replicate my YNAB (and import the data).

    Now that I’m used to it I don’t see any problems and I like it. I believe you can try it locally without running the server version.

    The lack of mobile app could be a downside but I don’t budget on my phone.

  • A simple homemade NAS, mostly for hosting my Plex library, VPN+torrent and cloud.

    The synology needs to be emptied, removed and sold.

    The m2 Mac mini was hosting some docker like pihole and actual budget but those are now on another Mac mini used as a workstation, so this one will be sold as well.

  • We had the same sanctuary light (thanks for the name) in my school chapel.

    But it was made with a simple LED and resistor circuit (probably made in the school 'techno' class).

    A friend and I got kicked out of catechism for removing the battery of that LED circuit.

    It wasn’t a big loss anyway, I remember the teacher being all pumped up when we asked "so God is the God of all Gods?". He made us write that down, which is a totally false affirmation for a monotheistic religion (God if the only one, there are no others).

    Anyway, I was happy to be kicked out of catechism 🤷🏻‍♂️
