    Honestly it wouldn't be worth it in my opinion like yeah you're super rich and people listen to you but so what? I'd rather be loved and cared about by my family and loved ones and have empathy and compassion for my fellow man.

    I mean some money would be great lol but if I had to sell my soul for it and be one of the people he is or is in his cabinet I just wouldn't even want it.

    I bet in a way it actually is difficult to grow up the way he did because he just views understanding your common man as a weakness and doesn't even realize what a huge part of the human experience he is missing out on, and he can't ever buy it.

    I think you can still do it but you have to edit the rom beforehand so yeah not out of the box.

    It still lacks a secure element which is pretty important for security and privacy. It also lags behind on security updates.

  • But "give up a bit on security" doesnt preserve privacy that's the whole thing.

    Also them being hypocritical for suggesting pixels isn't really true, its the only unlockable device where you can relock the bootloader afterwards which is necessary for the asbolute maximum security of the OS. *and also has secure element, among other important requirements for security.

    Motorola will change this.

    I personally don't cut corners when it comes to security and I don't think anyone should honestly.

    They can see how many downloads and seeds from torrents only but not from a single place and also not individual stream counts from services like real debrid and whatnot. Which a large number of pirates use.

    Also almost veryone in USA uses a VPN to torrent unless they are just asking to get a letter sent and service disconnected.

    So they can tell some of the people who accessed it but not how many people of that group would have been able to legally pay for the service anyway. (If I'm not mistaken a lot of those streaming services are US only and at least if they aren't they offer completely different libraries based off what country you're in)

    Someone in Africa or Brazil who had no way to pay for it anyway are also included in those metrics making them kind of pointless if you're an american company selling american media to Americans only.

    Although I'm sure they just measure it as "missed sales" anyway even though that isn't the truth. They don't offer their services to all 200+ countries and a lot of piracy isn't just US based.

    Also stuff like streamio that uses Real Debrid doesn't contribute to those metrics. Real debrid downloaded it once and that will show up but then the tens of thousands of people who streamed it from their servers never get reported or documented in these metrics. That is jus one example of why these are not accurate and I say that if they really knew they would go after it even more.

    That's not including the fact that when I download a game or movie I like I share that file on a USB drive with my friends who are either unable or unwilling to torrent it themselves and that also never gets reported in these statistics.

    There is absolutely zero way they will ever have the data on all of it.

    Also, I haven't looked onto it extensively but I believe a lot of private trackers are excluded from these data sets as well. I'm not 100% sure about that though.

    I love how people down vote this when what I am saying is easily verified. Just look it up in your favorite search engine.

    If they did I swear I think they would raid homes over it until people were so scared they'd stop.

    Edit: tell me again how they track and keep up with people who stream from services like real debrid who only reports rough user counts and not what those people stream. Private trackers would also like a word although they can be tracked but it is a lot more difficult than non private trackers.

    Don't worry though, no country is really worried about it yet because if they were they would work on making things not so obscenely fucking ridiculously expensive. (Although knowing rich bastards they'd probably just let humanity die out before they lost 5¢ on every sale)

    Or at least give some sort if credit to you to lift the burden a bit. I think maybe South Korea is doing this and some Nordic countries and even China too I believe.

    But still, if you have to get the calculator out and figure out how many meals you need to skip this month to be able to pay your bills I think having sex is the last thing on your mind.

    Shit, most people probably ran their mates off already from the insane, soul crushing, non stop fucking stress that being able to never get ahead in your entire life brings. Bonus points if you already had a child with them, now you get to have 25% if your income stolen from you for the next 18 years (25 if they go to college) even if you see them more than they do in a lot of instances. That will sure get you in the mood.

    And if not its still hard to want to fuck when you're hungry or when you're constantly about to lose it all and barely hanging on by a thread and obsessing about that reality in your head every single second of every single day.

    TLDR: shit is too god damn expensive and it just keeps getting worse with absolutely no end in sight.
