I think the question is if any of the commercial displays actually have good image quality? As you say it’s often used for advertisements and in retail areas, and I’d expect that mean image quality doesn’t matter that much, just that it’s cheap.
If budget isn’t an issue I would strongly recommend going for something with an OLED display (but not QLED). I have owned 3 generations of LG OLEDs now, and I have to say that picture quality is absolutely amazing. Though I have to admit that the software just have gotten worse with each generation. Mostly you can avoid it if you’re not using the built in apps but unfortunately there are quite a lot of issues with HDMI-CEC as well. It works well with my Apple TV, but sometimes there’s some weird behaviour with other devices, like a Switch or PS5. I’d live with that if the alternative is some cheap LCD variant though.
I would guess that the key difference is that vibe coded apps can get to a more or less working state a lot quicker, while other apps are likely to be abandoned before it’s done.
Though in either case I’d always be careful with new projects. If it’s just a single guy that’s been working on something for less than a year and only have a handful of GitHub stars, I probably wouldn’t install it.

To be fair, the network being crushed by high demand is extremely unsurprising. Cellular networks have always had this problem in dense areas, where it’s no way you're reaching the advertised speed. This is mainly due to the available channels being shared by everyone in a relatively large area, connected to the same cell. Which is mitigated somewhat by setting up more cells with shorter range for a higher cell density in cities.
How could a satellite based network ever scale? Where you have what, a handful available cells to cover an entire state?

That is very anecdotal, and unlikely to apply to anyone else. If you charge 30-90% in an hour, that means that you must have found a cheap super charger? Not even just the regular 22kW fast chargers? Where I live all the super chargers is quite expensive, like 1.5x the price of gas /km. Which is fine as you would mainly use them fore rare long trips. Meanwhile charging at home is like 1/4th the cost of gas /km, and regular public 22kW chargers about the same as gas.
Having to regularly wait 30 minutes somewhere to charge can definitely be a real inconvenience, but I buy that it’s nice to just sit and relax for a bit though.

If your use case is post to a small known group, PieFed supports creating local private communities where content is t federated at all. This of course only works if your whole group can decide on a single specific instance.
This is true but it’s also important to remember that if you use an AI model hosted by the same party that trains it it’s likely that they will pass any data you input to the training stage. Unless you have an enterprise contract regulating training use.

In the home/lab, I use public addresses with mostly SLAAC, but the host server has a static IP. I get A public /56 prefix via DHCPv6-PD from my ISP. There is a bit of a pain point if the prefix changes but it hasn’t happened since I moved here.
My ”production” setup is a bit more controversial. Since Hetzner charges extra for extra IPv6 subnets I simply created small /80 subnets for the VMs. While this does mean that SLAAC doesn’t work I can simply generate and assign static IPv6 IPs, same way as I do with IPv4. All generated from an ansible playbook that creates the VMs.
I have some ULA ranges as well, but it’s a bit of a special case as I only use it as internal IP ranges in a Kubernetes cluster. This is completely separated from the external network, with the cluster doing NAT to the node IPs anyway (even for IPv6), and all internal traffic being on an overlay network.
I think you are vastly underestimating the amount of people that only interact with social media through apps in this day and age. Even on Reddit I would be surprised if the old design is more than a few percent of the user base.
It honestly does raise the question of why they are still maintaining the old UI. It seems like it would be an annoying legacy product to keep alive for a tiny part of the user-base. Perhaps it’s used as an API stability canary or something though.
