Through direct defensive action by the U.S. military and its partners, Iranian munitions did not cause significant damage, demonstrating both America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel and our unrivaled ability to leverage growing regional integration among U.S. partners to counter Iranian aggression.

    All of this stands in sharp contrast to Trump's fecklessness and weakness in the face of Iranian aggression during his presidency. In 2018, when Iranian-backed militias repeatedly attacked the U.S. consulate in Basra, Iraq Trump’s only response was to close our diplomatic facility.

    They are literally calling Trump "weak" for not engaging militarily enough. This is the same language of Trump of "Peace through strength" and ultimately there is no indication, the Democrats would not have jumped at Netanyahus order to get into the war.

    Russia, the US and EU are failing slowly, with Russia and the US kicking around in the process. The EU doesn't really know what to do except follow suit to the US, no matter the stupidity.

    Aside from these three China seems to be emerging for now, but is running into huge demographic issues that the others already have.

    Neoliberal Capitalism is destroying the very foundations of society and leading to a new rise of Fascism as it is ideologically way too deeply entrenched to overcome itself and the mantra of eternal growth and eternal capital accumulation at the top.

    On top of all this the climate catastrophe is picking up intensity every year and the effects will cause more and more disruption.

    Meanwhile any attempts at spearheading a better world, one of sustainable economies and basic human rights are disrupted by the forces of old, who employ ever more gruesome weapons and tools of mass surveillance while refusing any social innovation.

    To answer your question: Yes it is overwhelming and it will probably get a lot worse.

    Why Ukrainian media is stupid to follow it is beyond me though. With the US getting dragged into the Middle East and Governments like Germany doubling down on their blind support for Israel, Ukraine will face a lot of negative consequences. First of all the military support by the Western countries will take a hit. More importantly this will lead to a huge spike in the oil and gas prices and likely soften European sanctions against Russia, pumping a lot of money into the Russian war chest and economy.

    A major war in West Asia will be detrimental to Ukraine.

    So ultimately Israel needs the eternal war for two main reasons:

    1. To keep the support by its western lapdogs up, by presenting itself as the eternal victim under war.
    2. To keep the internal pressure contained by the necessity to hold together because of war.

    They knew they were lying, just that today it is even more brazen. The US needed to produce images of "strength" after 9/11 so it was clear they will invade someone. They didn't invade their allies in Saudi Arabia despite most of the perpetrators being Saudi nationals.   • I don't think that for Russia an US invasion of Iran would be bad. Russia builds most of the drones themselves on a license now. As Israel is already bombing Iran, Iran won't be able to deliver a lot to Russia for quite some time.

    Meanwhile if the US and its EU allies get bogged down in Iraq 2.0 for the next twenty years, Russia will be able to deal with Ukraine much easier, while China can increase its presence in South Asia. Furthermore a full blown war with Iran will likely block the strait of Hormuz, skyrocket the Oil and Gas prices and bankroll Russia as the EU will either directly come crawling back for Russian Oil and Gas or will scale down their efforts to limit sanction circumvention through India, Turkiye, Azerbaijan and others.

    If the West commits to "regime change" in Iran, they will likely sacrifice Ukraine to Russia.

    Meanwhile with religious texts it’s inherently impossible to come to any sensible conclusion that isn’t derived from yourself and your own opinions and emotions.

    By this logic neither theology nor philosophy, music, arts, political science most other social studies and economics are sciences. Also theology precisely does not rely on scripture alone but contextualizes it with history and other sciences.

    tl;dr Science and Religion are inherently incomparable as one derives truth from systemic processes and measurable facts, while the other derives “truth” from everyone’s worldview and emotional state of individuals.

    Again this evaluation denies anything but math, chemistry and physics to be sciences. Such a stance is deeply anti-intellectual as it reduces "scientific pursuit" to a fraction of human science.
