  • Ive been called a communist/socialist by the conservatives i know, ive also been called a fascist by democrats/liberals and others. I haven’t picked a side, so im disliked by by both sides.

  • I think it's reasonable to be critical of extremists. Like, I argue against lefty wokescolds/puritans/tankies all the time. But like, if you're between the DNC and the GOP and you think that's some kind of "both sides/fair and balanced/enlightened" position... you're probably politically ignorant... Hell, if you think the DNC is some actual leftist position.... you're probably politically ignorant.

  • I've been eyeing ZorinOS for two reasons.

    One ZorinOS 18 just released this month, and it feels like it would be an easy transition as a lifelong windows cuckboy to use.

    Two, my daughter does home/virtual schooling and the educational ZorinOS seems to offer a lot of useful features on their educational/school build. Because while playing games on Linux is cool and all, the main problem I have witha full household swap to Linux... is that schools and so much of the wider system are built around windows. And I worry that changing to Linux would screw up things she needs to do with school.

  • The "Attack On Titan" finale was a bunch of nonsense.

    Everything just whipped back and forth at the whims of being artsy. None of it aligned with what the show had been known for in writing or foreshadowing. Characters constantly acting unreasonable for the sake of conflict. Shit just stopped making sense and everything felt like it was being made up on the spot.

    All of the Ymir lore felt forced. Why tf was it a worm?

    B: Removal isn't a one time thing? Like, it takes months. It's a whole medical procedure. Doing the consultation, creating a treatment plan, several appointments, and time to heal between. Do you think tattoo removal is some simple outpatient thing you can just do as a walk in?

    Did you know that not all tattoos can be removed? Yea, that's part of the consultation. Because some tattoo inks aren't reactive to the laser. Some skin tones don't work. And it hurts, a lot, the whole time. Because it's literally burning it off. Pending where on the body that is, it may not be feasible.

    Which is why MOST tattoo "removals" are done as coverups. Because getting a tattoo is nowhere near the same thing, in time, in pain, etc as removing a tattoo.

    I swear, way too many people on Lemmy think tattoo removal is some magic device.

  • This, again, speaks to your naivety. About military culture, about tattoo culture, etc.

    For YOU, it's important to know everything about something you're getting a tattoo of. But it's EXTREMELY common in both military circle and tattoo circles to just get a tattoo of a thing. Because sometimes, for some people, it's not about what the tattoo is, but the place, experience, memory of getting it. The art itself is the least important thing.

    That's not you, and that's okay... but to think that everyone thinks like you? Or should? Arrogance. Snobbish arrogance.

    Whatever man, sow division about shit. Don't let people make mistakes and grow. Be insufferable. That'll make the world better.

  • Getting a tattoo removed isnt a simple one and done procedure. It takes months to remove a tattoo. Several appointments breaking it down, letting it heal, breaking it down, repeat. And it doesnt work with all tattoos/ink colors/skin colors.

    You, naively, dont know what youre talking about. Getting a tattoo covered is the fastest and most common way to get rid of an old tattoo.

    Because his entire reddit history for the past decade has been dug up and none of it points to nazi posting. Even posts that were deleted.

    You'd think if he was a secret nazi, then maybe it would show in his private online shitposting. When he wasn't running for office, when he didnt have to maintain face... but no, its not there.

    Literally, ALL, the evidence this smear campaign has is the tattoo (which he immediately covered). None of his private history for a decade supports this. Instead most of the private reddit posts contradict it.
