  • We will be.

  • I love my cats, but they never go outside. Because I also love the birds.

  • Has the military had a plan for anything over the past year? It feels like they're just reacting to the whims of a crazy man.

Not having a plan isn't comforting at all. It, also, means they have no plans to pushback against it.

  • This was obvious to everyone at the time of his confirmation hearing.

  • Ricky Martin x Patton Oswald?

  • part files is what made WinRAR so popular with the piracy community. Especially back in the before times, when you were direct downloading and an internect hiccup would cause a download to fail/restart. Being able to download a thing in smaller parts, only having to restart smaller chunks instead of the whole, and then assembling the whole build as one.... that's what made WinRAR useful....

Compression was nice and all too, but self executing part assembly was the standout feature. Again, rendered useless when download managers are built into modern broswers. You can retry a direct download without having to restart the whole file.

  • Do people even still need to use WinRAR? I mean, the rar format isn't even that prevalent anymore, not even for piracy stuff.....

It was useful 20 years ago, but like, most OS have native support for it now, making it even further useless to download a WinRAR.

  • do you assume that everyone wants to look up people's birthyear dates or do you just assume that everyone has encyclopedic knowledge of them? Sometimes, it's just convenient to see the answer to the question you're thinking in the comments without having to go looking it up.

But go off trying to sound smug and smart. You're very very cool and everyone thinks you're super witty.

  • Are you rich? Where's your Bugatti?

  • Anyone wanna take a guess who they voted for?

  • yea..... that's pretty much all Thunderfoot posts about nowadays.... he hella fell off, for multiple reasons. But like, a decade ago he used to talk about scam kickstarters, atheism, interesting science topics, etc. And then in those debunking science videos he would bring the math and receipts that made it fun to watch... But then in the past 5 years it's just been Elon... nearly every video is about Elon. It's obsessive.

And tbf, that's not the only ick around Thunderfoot. I mean, he did kinda get his start during the Anti-SJW culture war shit doing anti-femisist ragebait videos. Basically occupied the same spaces as Sargon, Bearing and GradeAunderA.... and he's never really "grown" out of that, or addressed it, let alone apologized for it. He harps on Elon, and sometimes Trump/AlexJones/StevenCrowder but he's never really talked about how he and his ilk helped bring them about.

  • I assume he got rich how most people get rich, luck and being a sociopath.

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • He'll never resign. That would imply that he's capable of admitting to being wrong. And he's too fucking crazy for that. He believes all the bullshit he says.

  • My poor old PC and card were already struggling before the remaster. Now it won't be able to play it at all and I can't afford to upgrade cuz every PC part costs a mortgage.

  • related, if a little girl with a lemonade stand had tappay or a cashapp, I would be pretty impressed.

We mostly romanticize traditional child business stuff (girl scout cookies, lemonade stands, mowing yards, etc). Learning how to sell your work, to know the value of your labor is important. But almost no one pays with cash. If a kid was serious about trying to make money the way we imagine kids could make money they need to be with the times, not with the whimsy.
