  • Oh hey I understood all of this. I knew that degree was going to eventually be good for something

  • This question becomes more a test of age as time goes. I've been asked this question even after the movement towards all-LEDs.

This question is also stupid, both because it has a correct question and because almost certainly some people have advantages over others that have nothing to do with the actual job.

20+ years ago? Sure, this was a somewhat viable question. But now? It's incredibly messy.

Over my years, I've asked dozens of very, very smart people from all kinds of walks of life, extremely smart to seemingly dumb as hell - nobody has ever gotten it right.

Probably the only thing this question is good for is seeing how an applicant does when faced with a diplomatic situation and a really dumb interviewer.

I'm super curious what the people who unironically ask this question think they're testing.

  • Oh yeah, that too. They totally got me. I was VERY embarrassed in front of my entire extended family.

  • Wasn't intentional. I was just thinking back and remembering, and realized that a lot of the people there are now gone forever. Life is so short. Decades fly by like the snap of your fingers. Sure, stuff happens, but it's all too fast. Eventually, we will all be the oldest generation and responsible for all those that come after. Maybe I'm just dumb, though, and struggle with truly comprehending my own existence.

  • Had to have been 98 at a big family Christmas; grandparents gave me a box of giant, bright red whitey tighteys which was awful and ultra embarrassing, but buried inside was Zelda Ocarina of Time. My brother got the N64. Also everybody was still alive or much younger then, so that's a really nice memory.

  • :o

    Do we?????

  • Where are the t-rex arms/hands?

  • Minecraft Java Edition is Minecraft and Minecraft "Bedrock Edition" is an awful Microsoft rip-off because Microsoft is bad at everything and wholly hostile to consumers and other businesses and run by ants.

  • Unfortunately, not if it's launcher level

  • Lol?

  • I 100% disagree with you and people saying it has too many awards. If it deserves an award, it deserves an award.

But holy shit ai is hot condensed bad. I don't care if your argument is "but it's only the fine details of the textures", maybe pay somebody to do that for you, because there's more than enough fine details in nature and human creativity. Also, ai is essentially entirely based on stolen work, and I don't give a rat fuck bullshit ounce if 0.00000000000000000000001% of ai is completely ethically designed, trained, powered, sourced, ran, operated, invested, and gives proceeds to the starving children's fund... that shit doesn't exist, and if it actually does by some mental gymnastics loophole, it is, by far, an exception to the rule.

Fuck ai and fuck all you people with weakass moral compasses encouraging this irresponsible destructive bane upon society right now and making bad excuses and even lying about it. It doesn't have to be at all like this.

  • That is a surprisingly depressing piece of information

  • People have monuments and shrines and stuff all the time, so part of it isn't that weird. It would still be weird how people are treating it though. Taking selfies and shit. It's like the dumbest, most non-self aware people's hot takes, crystallized and evolved into a political party.

But if you believe what he was doing was right, and actually listened to him "debate (uncomfortable public verbal conflict logically) is good", then a public selfie under the tent does make a lot more sense.

Unfortunately for them, THEY are the ones that need the growth, but treat it as a sneaky way to proliferate "values" and "ideas" in a really messed up little chapel. Spreading your worldview under a tent is as old as history, all religions basically do it. So it probably felt holy to a lot of stupid people.

  • Another thing you can do is to actually feel your feelings. Listen to how fucking bored you are. Sit in it, feel it, breathe it in, metabolize it, process it, and then fix it. If you had a billion dollars, what would you do?
