  • Many comic artists have side gigs to actually make a living. I could guess what this person does for their day job.

  • They are a wizard, yes. Nobody in their right mind would want to do it for so long.

They also reckon the other 50% is trying to harness the magic by randomly tweaking stuff in the hope it doesn't blow up in their face...

  • I worked with someone that's been designing RF circuits close to 4 decades. They reckon it's only about 50% magic.

  • I think the board is wrong. The f8 bishop is actually on e8 in the comic, which means the other bishop should be on black - possibly on a7 protecting the knight (can't see that side of the board).

  • I would refer back to my peanut butter comment. Or bee stings. Or celery.

Some people are near-sighted. Some have asthma. ADHD. Some have 12 toes. Or two penises.

People are genetically diverse. They just are.

  • Possibly windows update/defender downloading>installing>deleting files. Might also be the page file, though that doesn't usually shrink that often

  • I will answer in good faith. People respond to different stimulus differently. It is as simple as that.

Some people die from eating small traces of peanuts, some have no problem eating a whole tub of peanut butter in one sitting.

Some people are okay losing an hour or two of sleep. Some will have their bodies react horribly to it.

  • Cleric: Hold my ale. About time my day job pays off.

  • Okay, but where are these American arm-bearing workers? What are they waiting for?

  • You mean being able to find whatever I need without clicking through 5 links?

  • Probably more common than you think. I know someone who worked in the transport industry. They had one advice they gave everyone: "when you're driving while tired or stressed, hyperfocus on the two lines on the road in front of you. NEVER look at any tree or pole on the side of the road."

  • In kindergarten I was taught when reading the number 123, the lowest digit is on the right, and the highest on the left. Never questioned it either.

  • Haha I was fully expecting this comment when I wrote it. Hi fellow c/fuckcars lurker 👋🏽

  • I don't see any future for seatbelts, and forcing such an ugly implement in cars might lead to problems.

Seatbelts will kill cars if it persists there long enough.

  • Every Chinese year happens every 60 years.

  • I knew who it would be before opening the video. His whole thing is about making strange - and very often, unsafe - musical instruments. One of his early videos was replacing piano hammers with actual hammers.

His spinning guitar is actually super cool though!
