  • One of the (many) problems with non-commercial licences is that "commercial" is really hard to define, and case law varies between countries.

  • "Open Printer will use the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 [Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike] license for all of its files,"

That isn't an open source licence....

  • People are already just pointing their phone camera at their monitor.

  • Can't see anything about the price.

  • Lemmy and 4chan do have one thing in common

    Hating reddit.

  • Kinda inevitable after moot sold it.

  • What's the weather like?

  • I don't follow any alternative calendars, but being a coin collector I'm aware of the Muslim (Hijri) and Hindu (Vikram Samvat) ones.

  • In practice, it would be the end of NATO.

  • Mary Poppins is now played by Anthony Hopkins

  • This guy is being reasonable, get the pitchforks!

  • Nothing is private on the fediverse, and Mastodon's bodge only gives the illusion of privacy. There should be zero expectation that any fediverse software will follow their non-standard extensions.

  • That doesn't solve the last mile problem, or transport for all the people who live outside of a few dense cities.

  • That's what happens when you have a reasonable sensor suite with LIDAR, instead of trying to rely entirely on cameras like Tesla does.

  • It demonstrates that nothing on the fediverse is private, and bad hacks that pretend otherwise are a terrible idea.

  • There's easily over a thousand fediverse instances at this point, having to whitelist them all would be impractical.

  • Yes, I touch type so use it whenever I capitalise a letter typed by the left hand.

  • Yeah, I did mine like 15 years ago around when they first started accepting international orders (At the time they didn't even have labs in the UK and they paid to TNT overnight ship my spit to America)
