I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from "YouShouldKnow" for saying I need more proof of Israeli's genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I'm being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

  • Growing up, I somehow expected that after 20-30 years thanks to technological advancements, people would just quit religion en masses/realize no one is protecting us, leading to every religion being hated. Somehow that partly happened with nearly all religions getting hate, even here on Lemmy, except for one - Islam

What's with this phenomenon? Are they simply a majority?

EDIT: A more correct term would be immune against hate, not getting hate, as hating on Islam in society is basically racism now

  • For Europeans, that's around $0.52 per litle

  • It's a class action submitted by few consumers. Will see how this goes, but I highly doubt it's like before where they were literally keeping ram away from markets to inflate the prices, otherwise commitments on building more fabs seem weird if they'd want maximum return, but now they're taking risks since it's quite unclear if the AI demand will stay like this in the future.

  • Why did I remember a movie called Lucy..

  • Can you actually imagine the shitstorm if democrats barred a republican from elections?

  • Having (temporary) immunity does not cancel out the definition for a crime

EDIT: I briefly forgot about the Trump versus United States lawsuit. Immunity is not temporary afaik.

  • Because it doesn't make sense from user perspective. I watched Justin Bieber Baby, I watched Rebecca Black Friday and I started watching Bohemian rhapsody but didn't continue as I've heard it alot lately. YouTube assumed I liked the two other songs and hated Queen.

See the problem? YouTube suggestions were so much better years ago, now it feels like way too much scrolling to find something good

  • I get what you're saying, but after around 15 years of using all sorts of SSDs - I personally stopped thinking about write wear. I have not had a single SSD fail due to wear, those that failed have always failed at controller.

I keep using Shadowplay 24/7. I'm using an old SSD (840 120gb) for that from god knows what year, but it shows 1% health for 5 years now with no signs of actual degradation happening, only smart warnings for years now.

This disk was also running OS for 4-5 years.

  • Is it just me, or did the channel became really clickbaity?

  • He was literally running a government agency and you're trying to tell me he isn't American? Lol. Lmao even

  • I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like this guy likes Elden Ring

  • Not always. I think some have done a truly lasting effect, especially Snowden and people's distrust in governments not spying on you. Everyone started caring about privacy more since then.

  • Seriously, I've heard people say "Pakis" as a short for Pakistani in a non-insulting way, similar to Spaniards or Aussies.

  • And this is why as a foreigner I'm confused about US politics because if I google when did public became aware of the files - the first bombshells were in 2019 (Trump won in 2017), but it really only started trending in 2025 - after the elections.

Do you believe he could win now?
