I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from "YouShouldKnow" for saying I need more proof of Israeli's genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I'm being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

  • This is a wild finding. People reading a text can change their opinion on things? Can we, like, invent written pages that do this? We can even call them books or blogs. Doesn't matter who writes them or how wrong the text can be, but it's clear people can read and change their opinions

  • He's ex blizzard dev who opened his own indie studio

  • Imagine spending 10 years to build a server in space to avoid some law and next month government changes the law

  • Hey if people kept touching me, I'd develop flames too

  • Use strongest weapon

  • This whole article is gold mine of very, very terrible quotes

  • I really don't think he meant it that way. Think of it like this - if I want to generate some images, my GPU will run at 100% for few minutes. If I want to play cyberpunk, my GPU will run at 100% for hours.

  • But your (one of) solution is to kill half of the voting system to solve half of the vote manipulation. It's like solving spam by turning off comments. I don't think that is going to be a popular opinion

  • Vote manipulation is done in both directions

  • It's literally how what you see is regulated. If a company X wanted to hide products from company Y, they could make bots to auto-downvote Y products and upvotes X products.

Granted, I feel like more commonly vote manipulation is done for geopolitical reasons rather than astroturfing

  • This is not the answer you're looking for, but I remember watching Green Mile as a child and that movie struck with me for life, and likely attributed early on to me being one of the few non-racist folks around here somewhere in East Europe

  • Can't they just gamble for some ram?

  • By law, you cannot host and distribute licensed/copyrighted content, not talk about it. Not even reddit bans piracy related subs. Pretty sure FitGirl (was that the one?) uses a subreddit as official community.

  • Old people being politicians should be a crime against humanity. I feel like nearly all of the global and geopolitical problems we have are because of old fools

  • EDIT: After further elaboration by ChatGPT, I lost it:

So the logic is: 🚶 Walk to the car wash 📍 Bring the wash to the car
