I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from "YouShouldKnow" for saying I need more proof of Israeli's genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I'm being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

  • Isn't it public info that Chinese companies are obligated by law to share information with the government?

  • I don't even understand safe from what? Seeing titties? That is not bad and needs to be part of any growing up human, we've been all thru this, and we clearly see what happens to people who don't/were banned from normal childhood. All sorts of freaks.

  • Can't != Won't

  • Is the closure of Eipstein Island really affecting birthrates that much?

  • These are always illustrations based on whatever data we could gather. We almost never "see" the planets themselves.

  • I think they meant that if US launches a nuke in Iran, this essentially sets a precedent that everyone else can now use nukes, including Russia in Ukraine. If that happens, we're essentially entering a new era that might not last very long.

  • Jokes aside, by logic, isn't pedophilia a controversial topics in US right now?

  • I get what you're saying, but there is no objective defence for what is Russia doing in Europe. Anyone who sides with Russia or defends Russia either has personal interests in it, or the person is so easily brainwashed they're more dangerous than LLMs

  • Disney or sora really wasn't that big of a deal in AI (due to alternatives). OpenAI is probably right to shift focus to coding. Disney is probably still going to go after AI, just different company.

  • There are routers made in US?

  • Isn't Mikrotik commonly used for servers? Or is that just Europe?

  • Why fire, berries fine

  • Something I don't understand - AI coding is mostly useful in common code, snippets, easy stuff. What Nvidia is doing (drivers, optimization, chip design, etc.) is something I imagine there is close to zero AI training, so what can they realistically even use it for so much?

  • Peter pls..

  • More like a bad joke, but there is some truth to it depending on conditions (Ie. Free range chickens), other than that we're the predators, so obviously it's very ironic to say we're protecting them

  • People sometimes underestimate the processing power required for high resolution, high quality videos. There is quite a simple reason why pretty much no dashcams or IP cams, unless expensive, are giving you iPhone footage.

    I've seen people using GoPros, they're quite cheap and good, but tend to get quite hot (for reasons stated above)
