I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from "YouShouldKnow" for saying I need more proof of Israeli's genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I'm being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

  • I took a quick look at the app (android one is still live) and it's quite clear it will be abused for piracy. You can just stream any file straight from your device to the whole world, like twitch but without the faces. Apple probably gathered enough evidence prior to removal.

    EDIT: It seems like Lemmy assumes I said this from user/moral perspective. I was talking about lawsuit and whether it would succeed.

    EDIT2: Another thing I noticed - it has porn rooms and everyone's google full handles (emails) and first name/surname is visible, with face image showing who's watching the porn. It mostly seems to be guys from Pakistan and other countries with controversial laws, but essentially this is a huge privacy risk with serious potential for blackmailing operations.

  • I'm actually terrified of this. With all it's flaws and even evilness - I/we can't ignore the fact that it was keeping other major powers in check. China would far more likely invade Taiwan and likely whatever else they want, I'm in Baltics so.. Russia won't be so scared to attack it. Shipping lanes and global transportation of goods will no longer be protected by US (where credit is due, they really cared about it, up until Trump), other powers like Pakistan, Turkey and Venezuela might get funny ideas, etc.

    Ironically, world without US would look less secure to me
