  • I bet they're blaming the ongoing COVID pandemic for every nuisance there is for the next ten years. And by pandemic I mean lockdowns and other mitigations, not the virus itself.

  • Okay, I say that is a lot more concise definition for what you're aiming for. When a website declares to be for "free speech", it carries a certain connotation these days. Look what Twitter has become after it got bought by Elon Musk and turned into a "free speech website" for example. And good that a line has been drawn so that bigotry isn't allowed.

  • What is your definition of free speech?

  • I could understand hardcoded blacklists if Tesseract was meant as a frontend for a Lemmy instance tailored for a specific purpose, and not intended for general use. But this, to DDOS a website because the developer is a whiny baby who can't take criticism? This is a new low. This is disgusting, and damaging for the Lemmyverse as whole.

  • I'm referring to the Web0 manifesto coined by Aral Balkan.

web0 is the decentralised web. In other words, web0 is web3 without all the corporate right-libertarian Silicon Valley bullshit.

  • Web0 is the way to go, not Web3.

  • A frontend should be a frontend. The decisions of what to blacklist should be up to the frontend's user. Stupid decision on the developer's part.

  • Super Smash Bros also seems to have the same problem.
