  • This is spam btw. OP is trying to sell a shady service to share carding methods via Telegram on their profile. That's the "completely legitimate business" I guess?

  • Can be a fun trope in fiction. Doesn't exist IRL, which is a good thing.

  • I was thinking on a way less global scale. Like people getting home safely, recovering from illness etc

  • That worrying about things outside of my control is entirely pointless. And that in the vast majority of cases, things turn out fine.

  • Fairphone I'd say. The phones are not without their issues, but they really put a lot of care into repairability and sustainability, which I appreciate.

  • It's an ampoule with probably some kind of pharmaceutical substance inside. Looks a lot like Iodine color-wise (example), but could be something else.

  • Your account is marked as a bot account, hence the "B" next to your name. If you're not a bot, uncheck "bot account" in the settings. That should give you the full functionality back.

  • They probably didn't mean browser bookmarks, but bookmarked/saved lemmy posts.

  • If you have discipline, you don't use Stake in the first place.

  • My go is for the Buzzard, it would sure as hell make desert trips and heat waves seem a lot less worrying and paranoiac.

I'm not sure I understand that one. What's the connection between buzzards and heat waves? Why do they make you worry? We have a ton of them in Germany, pretty cool birds and not dangerous unless you're a mouse.

I guess if I had to pick one, it would be ticks. But I'd rather not remove any, because whatever animal you remove may have devastating consequences on the entire ecosystem.

  • Play store reviews are supposed to be for the Android app specifically, not the social network as a whole. Scrolling through them for 30s, I see mostly people having technical issues with the app and a small number of people complaining that you can't be a nazi on there.

  • Mostly the same as it is now: Based on whether you're talking 1st, 2nd or 3rd person, as well as singular or plural. There would just be a single third-person pronoun instead of multiple.

  • Yawning in general is still quite a debated topic in science. Its purpose is not fully known.

  • The ones mentioned in OP seem to be one user that is spreading their questions around multiple accounts, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if they’re posted at a rate that would be fine with a single account, and if they aren’t using more than one account in a particular thread.

I don't think they directly interact with each other, but they do upvote each other's threads. Example

Cheers for providing a different possible interpretation for those accounts. I didn't see them comment on their deletions anywhere and as I wrote, my own attempts to reach out to them were only met with immediate deletions. It's certainly possible that they're human, even though I slightly lean towards the bot interpretation right now. Unfortunately, it's just really hard to tell nowadays.

  • Just did!

  • I'm not sure either, but there are 2 scenarios I can think of:

    • At some point, the bot accounts will edit all their old posts to some kind of spam adverts
    • The accounts post harmless, normal posts for a few months to appear legitimate, then pivot to posting targeted political propaganda for some kind of state or private actor

    LLM-bot activity on question communities?

  • And it inspired so many artists, many of them still active. A lot of them dropped the “brony” from their name by now, but there’s so many musicians who started in MLP and branched out.

Yep. I don't really actively consider myself a brony anymore, but brony music still has a large place in my playlist. So many genuinely good songs.
