    Then you didn't know where I lived when I went to school in Toronto. Kitty-Corner from me was a pay by hour hotel. Lots of hookers, escorts, pimps, drugs, etc.

    They just didn't have guns. Because they're hard to come by in Canada and don't come with the same dick stroking reputation as it does in the States. No one cares about guns here because our country doesn't masturbate over the idea of having them.

    I've known multiple drug dealers in my life. None of them owned guns.

    Perhaps you should self reflect that this problem you have with needing to "protect" your family with killing machines because other people have such easy access to those same killing machines is purely an America problem, not a global problem.

    Also, most robberies in Canada are done without firearms. Since... You know... They're not exactly common here.

    Also if you own a gun just to prevent imaginary robberies and dream of being able to shoot and kill someone, you might want to seek professional help. Most people don't want to kill someone.

  • When I was at the age where computer class was being taught, I was already typing at a higher level. My parents had the entire Encyclopedia Britannica set and there were games on those discs that taught typing. I learned a lot at home because I wanted to long before the school started teaching it.

    So me, grade 4 or 5, already typing at an accelerated level with my own middle-finger led typing technique I taught myself that worked perfectly for my (not yet disagnosed) ADHD-ass brain was literally forced, or I'd fail, to "home key learn" typing. So there's me, my index fingers on F and J, typing out "sad lad sad lass dad lad" when I could already type complete paragraphs on a keyboard.

    No, I don't miss that shit. It was so degrading.

    Not opinion. I know a LOT of trans people (married to one, my girlfriend is trans, my partner's boyfriend is trans, and we have a ton of friends who are) and the commonality of all of them is from an early age they knew something about them wasn't right. My enby partner knew very young they weren't a boy or a girl. My trans girlfriend knew very young she felt more like a girl.

    Sometimes the realization will hit harder in adulthood (eggs) but every trans person I know knew at the very least they felt "different" at a young age.

  • To be fair, OP said their house is "old and busted". I live in a century old farm house so I know old and busted.

    We run our furnace fan sometimes when it gets hot out as our dug basement stays cool so it'll blow that cold air through our house. But we have made sure to seal windows better, use black out curtains on the south side of our house (Where the sun tends to be most of the summer) and do what we can without needing to use our Heat Pump or AC units.
