  • As someone in a poly marriage, kitchen table poly is an absolute requirement for us. If all our partners can't get along together, even if they aren't involved with each other, we don't date.

I have two partners along with my married partner, and they have two partners as well. We get along with all of each others partners, and while our partners don't directly talk, they know about each other and are cool with everyone.

Not a chance if either of us were involved with someone who didn't like the other would either of us stay with them.

  • You're not doing anything though. You admitted that in your post. If AI went away tomorrow you'd be screwed. You aren't doing a job, the AI is.

You're completely useless. And it won't be long until your bosses realize that.

  • That's a shit ton of projection in such a short comment.

  • You just told us why they don't need to pay you much longer..

  • Your job wouldn't be missed if AI disappeared tomorrow if you're that reliant on it.

Nothing you do matters. I hope you understand that.

  • I'm perfectly okay with that outcome.

  • Where did all your comments go?

  • They are supported by the fact, that they are not treated differently than others.

Are you fucking new to the Internet or something? America literally has laws that prevent transgender people from getting healthcare, or using the bathroom. Not treated different? Fuck outta here.

  • That's quite a fair point. I've never had to hunt down other languages but I'm sure there are free services out there that do.

  • Let's be honest though. Nobody "absolute must pay".

I'm on rural Internet. I pay for 50mb down. That's all I get on satellite.

I'm watching the Jays game right now. It buffered once in the 2nd inning for 2 seconds and has been flawless since. Why would I pay $25-40 a month for the same quality?

  • Every small victory matters. Even if losing an election, get more people to vote. Suddenly a sure fire victory of 20+ points becomes 15 points. Then 10. Then 5. And over 10 years it inches closer to flipping.

People who don't vote because "Why bother, the other party wins bigly all the time" are the reason the other party wins bigly. More people will vote for your party over time when they see the slow crawl of it "mattering more".

  • There are pirate streaming services that are just as good as the paid ones, get everything the same day, and are completely free.

I have no problem giving my money to an honest streaming service. There are none left. It's all greed.

  • Loss prevention is built into every business' insurance policy. Major corporations don't lose money from shoplifting any more than they lose money from throwing out old food. It's all written off and covered.

  • I'd sue the individual security officers who decided to call police for their own store's malfunction. The security officers not only failed at their job but put her life directly in danger over ham. I wouldn't even sue Walmart. I'd go directly after the individuals.

  • People demand others be perfect so they can live vicariously through them while their own life is a miserable mess. They refuse to have any form of introspective and self acknowledgement of themselves to make their own lives better, so they need others around them to be perfect, even if those others is a para-social relationship with a Youtuber.

  • That's just mahjong with extra steps.

  • I got banned for defending trans people, so there's that too.

  • Most data centers are closed loop systems and really don’t use all that much water. When they’re built, they get like a swimming pool’s worth of water and then can go years without needing anymore.

This is by far the absolute fucking dumbest thing I have ever read on this website. I cannot comprehend how utterly fucking stupid it is.

    https://www.eesi.org/articles/view/data-centers-and-water-consumption

Approximately 80% of the water (typically freshwater) withdrawn by data centers evaporates, with the remaining water discharged to municipal wastewater facilities.

Would you like to try your comment again, or is ignorance an inherited trait of yours?

    Here's another one.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/ai-data-centre-canada-water-use-9.6939684

YTO 40, a data centre being built in the Toronto suburb of Etobicoke [Ontario], was approved to use up to 39.75 litres of water per second for cooling purposes, according to planning documents submitted to the city.

But according to Microsoft, its new Canadian data centres will only use a fraction of that amount, because of design features that allow them to be cooled using outdoor air and recycled rainwater.

So you're choosing to believe MICROSOFT instead of actual legislation proving how much water they are consuming per day?
