Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.

  • George Orwell

  • I never quite wrapped my mind around knife/flashlight collecting. I have one of each that I EDC and I did quite a bit research to find the ones I like the best (Benchmade Bugout and Wurkkos TS22 - both in green). Carrying anything else would mean leaving home the one I like the most which doesn't make any sense.

I don't judge. It's just one of those things I have no theory of mind for.

  • I was refering to traditional Finnish vintage axes specifically - not hand made ones broadly. Billnäs, Kellokoski and Fiskars for example. Those are no longer being made.

  • All but the desire to do so.

  • I probably have a handful of them too.

  • I've too considered making a shelve for my penis shaped "ornaments."

Shame to put something so aesthetically pleasing hidden away in a drawer - especially in my private bedroom where no outsider ever goes to.

    • Common handtools. I have at least 2 - 3 of each. One set in my work truck and another in the toolshed. What can I say - I'm a sucker for tools.
    • Traditional hatchets. If I see an old hand-made axe head for sale with or without a handle for a decent price I'll buy it because they're not making more of them. I'll gladly sell/hand over one to who ever needs, appreciates and promises to look after one.
    • Bikes. I don't sell the old when I buy new one. It's worth more to me as a bike than as the money I'd get from it.
    • Hand carts. I don't know how I ended up with two but here we are.
  • If I need it and it's worth the price then I don't worry about spending money on it. Especially when talking about one time or long term purchases such as a laptop (which as an extremely satisfied MacBook user I highly recommend)

Subscribtion services and meals are the ones I take issue with. I dont want to pay high price for something and then have nothing to show for it. I will not pay 5 euros for a cup of coffee no matter what - it's not worth that to me. With items you technically didn't lose any value - you just traded cash for an object.

  • I have a mile long list of content filters for political topics and I'm adding new ones weekly.

  • If I can save money I probably will. Rarely I consider it an inconvenience though.

  • I relate to Dexter pretty hard except for the need to murder.

  • AI companies train their software on copyrighted content. They don't spread direct copies of that content around.

  • OP is literally asking whether it means anything other than racism/white supremacy. My "hot take" is a direct answer to what is being asked. At no point have they directed the question to only Americans.

You on the other hand are being a massive dick.

  • What's with the hostility? I commented because OP asked.

  • I don't live in the US. When I see that flag it's usually either on the wall of someone's garage or attached to their old American muscle car. To me it means rednecks, American south and rockabillies. Or a middle finger to the woke left. Never seen it as racist myself.

  • Reflexively being for or against (usually against) something based on certain keywords in the title independent of the content of the article itself. It could even be good news - doesn't matter. If it's about the wrong thing it's bad news.

  • Honesty is a big one for me.

Doesn't always mean speaking the whole truth but not saying anything that's untrue. This has led to a handful of situations where I would've prefered to tell a white lie but I didn't.
