  • You don't understand, CF married a brown person. These are the same type of people that would have bought into blood quantum bullshit back in the day, they absolutely will turn on him at some point for not being 'racially pure' or for being a 'race traitor' on 'the day of the rope'.

He may get a pass longer than most cuz he's in power, but they'll turn on him none the less. Don't believe me? Go look up what Hitler's buddy Ernst Röhm did for him, and the reward it got him in the end.

  • Not someone who grew up in one of those churches, but please don't sleep on the previous person's comment. Whether or not couch fucker believes what he says, there are more than enough idiots in their inner circle that do believe it (or are at least willing to go with it for the power) for that not to matter. And even side stepping on whether or not the people in the inner circle believe it, a fuck ton of stupid americans in bumblefuck USA absolutely do and are more than willing to partake in violence and justify it with religion or end times rhetoric, and will likely support them while they violate every maxim of christianity.

And just to tie in a very large media story, the Nat-Cs believe that the end times will come when the jews finally have their homeland back. So support for Israel can be drummed up in bumblefuck USA by tying this to the bible and making people thing that supporting Israel in their genocide is something akin to a crusade and something that god wants them to do.

And friend, if you don't think they can control how a large swath of stupid christians think, look into what they thought of abortion back in the 50s and 60s, and how quickly sentiment turned when the right turned abortion into their culture war wedge issue.

  • We've known for years that these Nationalist Christians wanted to bring about the end times, they're just finally at the point where they can finally say it out loud and not have to tap dance around it.

Fucking Nat-Cs, always have to make the world worse so they can get to the end of their fairy tale (despite knowing that they'll be left behind because they are the most unchristian people of all)...

  • I've been enjoying History of Everything (Podcast) with Stakuyi for a bit now, definitely recommend.

  • Have you ever considered that you're wasting everyone's time by not getting to the point?

I genuinely struggle to see the point of any of this.

Clearly, considering you didn't even check the timing on the messages and see the first one took twice as long (both in time, and in actual messages because half of the second convo are just them thanking each other)

  • Some people will eventually understand that they're wasting your time (when they clearly have something they want) by waiting for you to answer (and effectively have to wait on them) before they respond with what the ask is when you could have just answered it the first time.

Those people are just as bad as the ones who just send "hey, can I ask you a question?" and then nothing else until you acknowledge them.

  • Back in my day you got stuck in detention or pulled from extra curriculars

  • Gods, the number of Depp movies that had Helena Bonham Carter in them was a bit nuts for a minute

  • Yeah, I don't believe anything coca- is hypoallergenic given the number of stuff I've seen them react to. But it being supposedly hypoallergenic might explain the rumblings I've heard about coconut stuff no longer being listed as a major allegen (hooray)

Thanks for the reply, even if I can use the info.

  • That's the kind of limitation I have on mine, but that's because I have a wireless zigbee plug instead of a real timer, but it's because I can better change schedules. It's reliable like 95% of the time, which is good enough for normal use, but I'd be pissed if I paid for an AIO unit that required an active connection to work. At least mine is all on my own network, so it's (usually) my own fault when something goes sideways

  • Then call the number on your card. Anything else is going to make someone else some money at your expense

  • I never got past making liquid hands soap, is the process any different?

My partner has a coconut allergy, so I had to learn how to make soap, I just find the process a bit existing right now. Hoping to make some bar soap in the near future once spoons are available

  • So say we all

  • About the only streaming services I pay for are dropout and pbs, and neither one has those issues.

  • You cut and paste the watermark

  • They said unimportant and inconsequential, both of which do not apply to date formatting.

  • but go show some uninitiated person a Windows forum where power users are talking about maintaining their system daily or weekly, the average person is going to still nope out.

The OS is immaterial, showing anyone uninitiated the shit power users do, you'll get that reaction. If you show me, a professional windows admin and a homelab linux admin, a Mac power user forum and my eyes will cross. But for windows or potentially Linux, it's fine. Don't use the users' lack of understanding as a mark against it, because that same mark is on every OS.

Linux itself has been usable by the tech illiterate for over a decade. My dead mother could use it just fine after I got sick of reinstalling windows, and she's been gone damned near that long. Sure, they have to have assistance in getting it installed right now because even the windows terminal terrifies them, but get it installed and a base configuration in place and it takes care of itself for the most part.

  • I'll stick to a Veracrypt full disk encryption with a hidden partition. All the benefits of a duress password, none of the data deletion that gets you V&

  • If they aren't gonna pay out when they should why are we even paying them?

Because you can end up losing your car, being fined thousands of dollars, or in jail for driving without insurance. The fact the peasants get no value from it isn't important, you better keep paying!

  • Selfhosted @lemmy.world

Is it possible to run a docker host that has no harddrive?
