Then one day we're talking about the future of the world and he tells me that he thinks global warming is a punishment from god coz we legalised gay people getting married in Australia. I thought he was joking and took me a few minutes to realise this guy was dead serious

  • Got banned on Reddit because i said the world was flat (sarcastically joking with another user) then the mod banned me for breaking a sub rule (spreading misinformation or something), then i got perma banned for ban evasion, so i looked for an alternative to reddit.

  • A social/government formality that i did only because my wife wanted a wedding. When my wife and i first said we loved each other, that was when we had each others back and were tied to each other 100%. Years later after getting married, it was just a bit of paper (we kept our own names, got wills to protect what we earnt ourselves etc), but our love never changed - but DAM they are expensive!

  • Lots of different reasons depending on the context of the person (lack of money, bleak future outlook, not wanting to pass down family trauma/bad genes etc)

  • Its great in Australia, i farkn love medicare (what we call it). My wife had a recent health scare and we had to run around seeing all these different people (getting scans done, follow up appointments, second opinions etc) and it was amazing walking out each time not needing to pay anything.

    We have to pay for meds but its cheap as chips (my meds for my heart shit are like $20 each pick up).

    I really feel for you yanks, its insane America of all countries doesnt have it.
