  • Yep, I heard lies and accusations for the 5 seconds I tuned in and turned it off.

  • Also, "mainstream" media is far (FAR) more critical and nitpicky about Democrats and blame everything on them. When they question Republicans the bar is usually "can you confirm that racism is bad?".

  • Which election? It's been known since Covid that he's an anti-vaxer. So, I pretty much assumed he voted Trump.

  • Liberals are constantly offended because conservatives are constantly attacking everything around them.

Conservatives attack everything around them because they are offended by EVERYTHING!

  • I prefer the Crooked Media shows, especially Pod Save America. But I usually check out the most recent MeidasTouch when I'm all cought up with my podcasts.

  • Also, there was a whole thing about nazis getting fired for their marches. And the right absolutely blew up claiming free speech no matter what the off-the-job activities were.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but DC is entirely under federal jurisdiction, right? Meaning literally every crime committed in DC is eligible for pardon. Really scary when you think about it.

  • Replacing DEI with ASH. Great strategy.

  • Was it MTG?

  • Even in their fantasies they're scared of Obama.

  • They ruled that one time that states can't unilaterally overrule the will of the people. That was nice. But that's how low the bar is, people weren't sure if they would completely override democracy (yet).

  • One ignored point is that Democratic voter turnout was especially low in safe blue. Dejected Democratic voters still largely came out in swing states (still not enough). They didn't come out in states that didn't matter, Republican voters showed up even when it didn't.

If you make the election popular I'd wager Kamala wins. Make voter turnout mandatory, and she'd win by more.

  • I've kind of wondered about something. Manchin kind of represents what Republicans should be. He opposes more liberal policies but wants to work with us for America's benefit. He approves judges that will uphold the constitution, will negotiate instead of obstructing. However, we only got that with him labeled as a Democrat. On paper, this is better than him just being another GOP member.

But, now we're left with Democrats not being able to get shit done when really it was a conservative blocking progress on key issues.

So my question, would we be better off if Manchin or Sinema were labeled independent from the beginning? Would Democrats be blamed less for what "they" couldn't get done?

  • Then they would have to report on the things he's actually doing and planning. Or report on his many failures.

  • Here in Arkansas, they've been shifting the tax burden from income to sales tax as well. And it's also presented as tax cutting rather than taxing the working class more.

  • All that's blocked is coverage for procedures that might result in sterilization - procedures that are already not generally done on minors who arguably aren't yet capable of giving proper consent.

I've been upset about restricting care. But if what you're saying is true, then it's VERY different from how it's been portrayed.

  • To be fair, a majority of Americans chose not-Trump for 3 elections. And that's ignoring the fact that voters in solid blue states just didn't show up to vote because their votes don't matter. If we lived in a Democracy and not a Democratic Republic, I'm confident he would have lost the plurality as well.

But also, half the country didn't ask for this. Even in solid red states like the one I live in, a third of us didn't ask for this bullshit.

What I'm tired of is the media sanewashing domestic terrorists and centrists giving the right a free pass by not paying attention and assuming "both sides" any time literally anything happens.

  • Oh, they like being told what do. As long as it's by the right people, as long as they're told that they get to make others' lives worse.

That's the secret. Just about every "alpha" (with VERY few exceptions) is also a submissive "beta". They'll give up their morals, their daughters, their god, their freedom, whatever.

That's the fundamental difference between the left and the right. The left believes in cooperation, the right believes in the authority-submissive, alpha-beta dynamic.

These people just aren't in on the secret. As soon as they really start complaining they'll be told to fall in line.

  • I thought Cuomo was on a path that would lead to the Whitehouse. Then he had his sex stuff and covering up Covid deaths stuff.
