  • I love the callout for antisocial personality disorder. People think that it means unsociable, but it's really the abuse of society.

  • That's not even directly criticizing. It's literally just an observation of the devastation from saving the hostages. It could be interpreted as the "cost" of saving the hostages, which is what pro-IDF will argue.

The fact that people find it bothersome means that maybe they're not as okay with it as they think.

  • So 1/3 of Americans are in a cult of hate and idiocy whether they know it or not.

The difficulty is getting 75% of the remaining population on board. 75% of a wide range of ideologies to agree that freedom and investment in America are better than submission, oppression, and chaos.

So, convincing 75% of people that allowing the government to deport innocent people (innocent until proven guilty and we know many of them are actually innocent) is actually really fucking bad.

  • The Democratic Party is centrist between moderate ideologies. Fetterman is centrist between the two parties.

  • I was going to say, it's not always a derogatory word. Those who are still aligned with DEI don't use it that way. So yeah, I guess it is.

  • That's worse!

The whole point was to trim excess. If they really had fired almost nobody, that would mean they're doing maximum damage with very little "benefits".

Now, obviously doing damage is what Trump and co. want. But the initial claim was efficiency.

  • Just like the polls that show McDonald's, Taco Bell, or Chic fil a as America's favorite restaurant in X state. It doesn't take too many idiots to outweigh everyone else.

  • A couple reasons.

Bernie and the Democrats are going to align 90% of the time (just like with Manchin on the other end of the spectrum). Basically, the other party is anti-America. So being pro-America makes you a de facto Democrat.

Since we don't have Ranked Choice Voting or any other system that is conducive to multiple parties, primaries allow directionally aligned candidates to decide who is most popular to avoid splitting the vote. This isn't necessary if a candidate has enough support for it to not matter. (Bernie is an independent in congress, but he ran as a Democrat in his presidential runs.)

  • Not efficient enough? I'm sure he meant that they need to deport the right people. But to Trump more efficient means deporting them faster. He's still confused why Melania is still here.

  • That of course he should run, he's the incumbent. Its exactly what podSave was putting out. Then it was that it was too late to swap. Then when we were swapping, it was that we just had to accept Kamala as she was. That we couldn't and shouldn't try to move her to more electable positions. All that bullshit.

None of that is true. I listened to every episode and it was CONSTANTLY a discussion. Should he drop out? Does it matter if he should, because he isn't? Is it too late? Does it matter if it's too late because it's better than Biden? Should there be a discussion on who replaces him? Does it matter since nobody is stepping up? Does Kamala actually need a primary challenger to prove she could handle it (or that she couldn't)?

I think you focus on the times that they said, what is the reality of the situation and what do you do with that. And you're ignoring the rest of the times where they were discussing everything else.

  • I see multiple different definitions of what "blue maga" is in your post between denial and pro-Trump rhetoric. And your laundry list in the first pic straight up shows how full of shit you are.

You're a lot closer to MAGA than any of the shit you're claiming. Complete with conspiracy theories, denialism, and again baseless accusations.

  • It's pretty clear you're going to hear whatever you want from me and anyone else. You're no different from what you're attacking.

  • I think you're projecting your own frustrations about the Democratic leadership because most of what you're saying is wrong. There was a lot more discourse and a lot less defense than you're remembering.

I'm not sure what your definition of Blue Maga is. But if it's accusations against anyone that doesn't support whatever you think with undying loyalty, that sounds like you. I'm not saying that the absolute defense people doesn't exist, but that's not them. And your absolutism is just as bad as what you're complaining about.

  • I mean, look, you are probably going to take this the wrong way, and you should.

I'm not sure what I could take the wrong way. I think you were pretty straightforward.

I do think you're partly wrong about their pod though. They're pretty analytical. I find that they try not to take sides too much within the left, but they do try to understand and they're pretty honest when it's clear. When they do take a position on divisive wedge issues (within the Democratic Party) they tend to land progressive (not Leftist or liberal).

Calling them blue maga is some retarded shit though, FR. And I wish that's what neolibs were, we'd all be a lot better off. I think maybe you're just upset that they aren't completely radicalized?

  • I like the Crooked products, specifically Pod Save America. I wouldn't call them strictly progressive or liberal because they're far too analytical to be a blind cheerleader. Some of the other podcasts under their umbrella do get into the cheerleader effect a bit though.

  • He's also lazy with no sense of nuance. If there's an easy way to do something, he'll do it. Pardon all Jan 6ers, deport all illegals (or all immigrants), let someone else handle shit, whatever is easiest.

  • On the flip side, Dems will regularly get that much of the vote in really red areas.

  • If they had focused their campaign on helping the middle class

I agree with most of that except this. They basically ONLY focused on the middle class. All the tax break incentives were great. But they never offered a damn thing for the working class. And that's who they SHOULD have focused on.

  • They should have been up there blocking his removal. Instead they're helping the anti-American authoritarians. Fucking DINOs.
