"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,”
Genuine question, why? They reported on the information they had, even if it wasn't flattering to the left. Then they retracted it when the information changed.
Charlie inciting fear against the trans community while painting them as dangerous, while simultaneously minimizing the danger of guns in general. Just before being shot. Without a doubt, he is directly responsible for some violence against trans people.
Honestly, I appreciate his comments more about how gun deaths are acceptable. At least it's honest. Also, on this link, a bunch of other racist, sexist shit that's, again, honest to how he felt.
It's ironic that the people who care so deeply about Americans and American values that they want to show their disgust in the country in this way, and they are branded unpatriotic.
Those who want to dismantle all the freedoms that are the bedrock of this country, who hate so many of the population for embracing those freedoms, are branded patriotic.
If Newsom is running for 2028, I'm absolutely voting against him in the Primary. And if he wins, I'm absolutely voting for him over these totalitarian, anti-American, fascists.
Having Jon only excites me in that he could get things done using his popularity. Biden got a lot done, but he used backroom deals and clever policy negotiations. But he's one of the worst communicators of our generation. And his stubbornness may have lead to Trump (no guarantees Trump would have lost, but Biden almost guaranteed he won).
Honestly, I would have been excited to have Biden a second time over Trump, and I don't love him to begin with.
Hell, at this point if Trump dropped dead and we somehow got Romney as president instead of the nut jobs in the maga party, I'd be pretty stoked.
TLDR: I want anyone who can move us back towards okay.
I wondered this too. But Rogan is just first in followers. MeidasTouch was first in views. Also, this was only for YouTube, which according to the article is the top podcast service now, which is hard to believe considering WHY podcasts have taken over.
The data showed MeidasTouch amassed 124 million views in that period, with Rogan scooping the second spot with 39.2 million views.
I think it helps that MeidasTouch has much MUCH shorter episodes. Like, any of Rogan's 3 hour videos counts as 1 view. Hours watched would probably be different.
On Spotify, the story is way different too. I guess that makes sense to my other point of why podcasts are popular. It's a lot easier to just listen to an imbecile ramble in the background for 3 hours than to watch it.
On Spotify, however, Rogan remains king, taking the number one spot, while MeidasTouch secured the 73rd spot on the audio streaming company’s U.S. podcast charts.
Of course not. And I don't support funding Israel while they're committing genocide either.
My problem was with their rhetoric. It's literally the justification people use to support genocide. My only point was be careful how far you go with that.

Also, every headline I've seen portrays it as a comment on Kirk or on the shooting. But it's entirely about the MAGA reaction.
