  • As I am, and always have been

    A NERD!!!

  • I didn't even use a calculator

  • 4.5s

  • No. I don't. Fingers crossed for arch supporting for many years

  • 580xx on arch forever I presume then. Gonna be rough in a few years

  • Moshidon and Pachli on f-droid are pretty good

  • Babylon 5 wants a word out back. And Farscape is waiting to surprise them both

  • Old house. Rura area. Backup heating source in case power goes out

  • Couldn't find an old one sadly

  • Seconding uv and adding docker-compose for running dev DBs/services as my recommendation

  • kWh perhaps? On 25p/kWh (about UK pricing currently) that's about £100 per year, this does add up!

  • Use your imagination is my advice. Plenty of programmes blur client/server boundaries and workstation roles. Desktop envs are very capable and wired into huge amounts of your machine

  • Why wouldn't you? Desktop integration with your home. Perhaps HA can use that big GPU of yours for local LLM type stuff?

  • I've a DBA who would insist on this being in a dimension table and using a foreign key constraint instead of just a fucking string

  • Yeah, I get it. Volunteers' time should be valued. But, there is more to valuing than money is my counter: authority, respect, community engagement, and a fraternal/paternal element

I salute all mods. And I pay for admins

  • Keep it away is my strong advice. Having to deal with banks will mean having to deal with regulations. Having to deal with crypto means having to deal with crytpo bros. Having to deal with paywalls is a barrier to entry

The internet was a better place without money touching everything!

  • Riker ipsum strikes again!

  • Genuinely no idea. Which makes it even more terrifying. I suspect Copilot github stats
