Now, I'm not saying everything isn't a shitshow. Clearly it is. Based on the general insanity, I am 100% in favor of getting vaccinated sooner rather than later. But "might" != "will".
I'm quite glad you included article links. Careful, though; the image posted is how propaganda works. By itself, it is unsourced, apart from the Unambiguous Science logo at the bottom (which could have been put there by anyone). UnSci refers to itself as
No sensational headlines, no politicizing of science. Just evidence based information.
And as noted early in this comment, the image says "will revoke" while the reporting says "might/may revoke".
I can't wait to see what happens when Little t actually deploys some other states' Nat Guard troops to Chicago. It will not go the way it did in California.
And it'll grind, grind, grind through all those courts for months. In the meantime, Little t gets his way. Maybe in this case, she's ignoring this "firing," but who else might not? At the very least, more chaos has been sown, more headlines are getting written, and more people are becoming that much more inured to the constant fascist shenanigans.
This (gestures widely) will not end without drastic measures.
Just to be clear, the person making this claim is Dr. Aseem Malhotra, the crazy guy who's gotten into the good graces of RFK Jr. "Crazy Guy who makes Crazy Claims makes another Crazy Claim that aligns with his previous Crazy Claims." For me, I'm sticking this bit of information on the corkboard, but I'm not going to freak out about it. Yet.
I don't think Illinois will roll over. Pritzker and the General Assembly have been on point. I'm very interested to see what the response is if Little t tries to send other states' National Guard troops into Chicago. I feel pretty confident that Pritzker will not allow IL Nat Guard to be federalized for this purpose. Newsom didn't authorize and yelled about it, but also didn't really move to stop it in the moment.
Oh, it's not even that some other protocol is operating on 443. It's that the underlying transport is HTTPS, just for something that's not a website rendered in a browser by the client. Microsoft, for example, used RPC over HTTPS for Outlook connectivity to Exchange for a hot minute.
