  • Comment from a German specialist in a thread about this from 2017:

Die nicht recykelbaren Reste wie Lebensmittelreste, Farbauftrag oder irgendwelche Etiketten verbrennen in der Schmelze und treiben oben auf dem flüssigen Metall als Schlacke, die einfach abgeschöpft und entsorgt werden kann.

    Translation:

The non-recyclable residues, such as food scraps, paint coatings or labels burn off in the melt and float to the top of the molten metal as slags, which can simply be skimmed off and disposed of.

  • It certainly is. The fold 2 released in late 2020 and that was when I stopped caring about tech and more about people not fucking up ther phone by sheer dumbness.

  • The people who come to me only care about their pictures. It is I who has to make sure that those who click on every link they receive and open everything attached are unable to fuck something up.

  • Since when does Samsung do that? I switched back in 2017 and haven’t been interested in the mobile phone market since the Galaxy fold 2

  • Since when do they do this? I switched in 2017 and back then 3 years was a luxury.

  • I‘m the tech guy most people ask for help. If they want a new phone, my first question is for how long it should last and what their price range is - then I mostly suggest an iPhone. You get 5-6 years of support for $600, while Android you need to pay that every 1-2 years.

  • They’re like cutesyfied Monchichi

  • As a person with a nice income, an iPhone is a device that‘ll get security updates for 5-6 years. Meaning that I can just put away 30 bucks a month and get the replacement immediately. On Android I had to get a new one every 2-3 years to get consistent security updates. I switched to an iPhone X when it came out, now I have a 14 Pro and don’t to plan to get a new one anytime soon.

  • Shhh. You’ll get downvoted for being remotely successful

  • Since I figured out that I have digestive problems regarding fruit and gluten, and that I get elevated blood pressure when eating certain oils (canola, rapeseed, corn) I‘d probably turn hunter.

While I certainly do like the flavor of meat imitations, I only want to deal with the aftermath when I’m really expecting it.

Maybe lab grown meat could help here, but I think that it’s a long way there.

  • LOL they’re using the DJI Video system on those drones. The antennas are DJI.

And that is the absolute worst thing they could have used. DJIs wall penetration sucks ass and since schools are typically built sturdier than regular houses, they’ll have 2 rooms of nice image that turn into a blocky Minecraft mess right after. They should have gone with a high power analog system since that would give the best wall penetration.

Also, they only recently allowed BVLOS flights in the USA - might be for these things only.

To add to that: those drones can be hacked, but only if you press the WiFi button on the drone itself, since it deactivates that when powered on normally; or if you connect it via USB. Also, if they control it via remote - the DJI remote is worse than ELRS. A 868 ELRS module would be better penetration wise but worse for latency. You can’t hack ELRS remotely, since they are secured via passphrase. If your passphrase is "I don’t like where this is going", you need to install that on the drone and the controller. Any drone with that phrase can be controlled with any controller using that phrase.

Also, the drone in the picture is likely a 3“ cinewhoop. Those are made for lift, not for speed. But even then, the maximum weight of one of those would be 1200 grams. Looking at the pictures, 600 grams could be the battery and about 200 the drone, that leaves 400 grams for deadly things.

  • We didn’t have a Britney Spears since MadMax or whatever that black haired girl with the monotonous voice calls herself

  • I'm on the toilet right now, focusing on burning issues.

That’s one way to state that you underestimated the Bhut Jolokia Murgh ("Ghost Pepper Chicken Curry")

  • I am blessed enough to love those things. A friend of mine who originally recommended the game hated those as well. They are made to be frustrating, made to be hated. After all, "you’re the second human to have ever completed this challenge“ I did everything on the first try while it took my friend 3 hours to do the tower of randomly placed objects.

I felt the same with the new guy, but it got a lot better when his flaws came out.

    • my 8 year old cat, to the new rescue
  • You know that type of jellyfish that has a brain, searches for a spot to live and then devours its own brain?

    All mammals evolved from them.

    This is now considered Alzheimer’s.

  • You can also see it in happy cats that their mouth smiles as well
