  • I like to make an orange rub rotisserie turkey for holidays. Always turns out perfect, and I glaze the skin at the end with sugar, such that it mixes with the fat on the skin and carmelizes. It's pretty easy, so long as you make sure you get your rotating gear tightened up enough and check it once its up to temperature, as you don't want your bird not turning!

  • It's a lot more common than people think, and so far outside the average person's experience that they can't believe it's true. It's very isolating. I'm lucky to be alive, and it cuts me to the core that my children are still trapped by her control. There is zero help from the legal system and no justice for the victims. I've made great progress after getting out, but the wounds are still there. I'm sorry that you had to go through it.

Yet a landmark ruling in France did exactly that in 2019, and found “torment” in the workplace, linked to a number of executives, had created the culture at France Télécom in which 19 employees took their own lives, 12 attempted suicide, and eight suffered from serious depression, between 2006 and 2009. Jane Monckton-Smith, professor of public protection at the University of Gloucestershire, has said in the past that, if we included provoked suicides, domestic homicide statistics could be multiplied “five, six or seven times”.

    I was married to a psychopath that attempted to drive me to suicide. Two other people in her orbit have committed suicide, and I suspect that similar tactics were used on them. I can't read about a suicide without thinking about the probability that someone may have successfully orchestrated a campaign to drive them to suicide.

    A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.

    The ICE agent has been charged, so Texas has the Constitutional duty to hand him over to face charges. If Abbot's refusal stands, the Constitution is just another piece of paper and the rules-based order is dead.

Mail in voting is fucked., Trump is going to put his ICE stasi at polling places to suppress turnout, and there will likely be violence. Even if democrats win control, there will be claims of voter fraud and a refusal to swear them in. Mark my words, the MAGA era won't end until the U.S. is in total collapse and they are physically removed. What the people want doesn't matter, as MAGA has seized control and ejected from military leadership those who oppose them. Things are going to get a whole lot worse before they can get better.

  • This so broad and vague as to be unconstitutional. It's like mandating that computers have to have technology that prevents hate speech. A 3d printer, like a computer, a hammer, a pencil, or the myriad of other tools humans use is just a general tool that can be put to good or bad uses. It would be insane to require anti-skull bashing technology for hammers and it is crazy to burden 3d printer manufacturers to develop technology to try to do this. Moreover, 3d printers are just one way to make ghost guns. A better way may be just home CNC. Instead of additive technology laying down layers of plastic one by one, with home CNC you can take a block of metal and machine it out, subtractive technology. The bill does not impact home CNC. So dumb!
