  • As an adult the very first thing we try to feed ourselves are our morals and principles. And once we find out that they don't fill your stomach? Well. You'd be surprised what you'll do to not starve.

  • Everything anyone has ever been cancelled for.

  • Pretty sure only aristocrats dressed like that.

  • After having sued my foster parents for emancipation 6 months prior, my best friend's parents have helped me move into what would become the one and only trailer I ever lived it. That night I would spend the first night alone of my adult life. And I would have that realization at the exact moment I slipped into sleep.

  • I feel like all social networks no longer represent or are recognizable from the original point of social networks which was communication. Now they're algorithm based engagement avenues for ads and market research and data gathering.

  • Agreed. I've often referred to it when talking to my friend group as "emptying the bucket". Everyone has things they think or feel that are "NOT OK©". And for the most part we realize that these things aren't to be mentioned in polite society as it would do fuck all to help any situation. So we add those drops of venom to the bucket. And we fill, and fill, and fill, and fill until we either find an outlet to empty it or it spills over and becomes an unhinged rant on some form of social media or a public freak out.

Private conversation with friends is supposed to be where you can empty the bucket without it harming others or, usually, getting you in trouble. It's supposed to be between you and the other person. Not something the other person is stockpiling for the day they need to cancel you.

And I want people to have places or people they can empty the bucket with. I want people to be able to get all the venom out and then go be a person who functions in the social systems we have in place.

  • Sir/Ma'am, did you bug my brother and my room during my childhood?

  • If you take into account harvesting and application, they are not. They are cheaper(in certain countries) on the consumer end. But that's rare.

  • I did mention the rare earth metals first.

  • Cadmium, lithium and nickel mining are not cheaper than oil extraction and are more harmful to the environment.

  • Stars.

  • Mass duplicate rare earth metals at a rate that would crash economies and make white goods and alternative energy sources actually cheaper than fossil fuels.

Then while the world's having an absolute fit trying to recover from that, I'd find a way to duplicate expensive and hard to make medicine till it's functionally worth less than the packaging it comes in.

  • Is there another button of the inverse?

  • I'm not sure if it's just me being up early, or the font, or what but I read that as:

    "Meat 13"

    and

    "Meat 23"

  • This is one of the very, very, very few times where the dub ing script fit the scene better than the original. In the sub script(disclosure I may be misremembering it's been more than 20 years) she just calls out to her dad and then Edward to let them know she's hurting and in pain. And it's more heart wrenching because you know that it doesn't understand why.

  • Here here.

  • You know it.

  • That and internal combustion engines are amazing in terms of energy to torque power.

  • Ultimately it's your kid so I would not presume to tell you what to do with it. I will tell you that its popularity in America stemmed from a time period where they knew that removing that little bit of foreskin desensitized your penis which they believe made you less likely to play with yourself.

That being said I am also circumcised and I think I would prefer that but......I don't know of anything else. For all I really know my QoL might have been better had I not been.

If you could change three small historical events by going back in time, what would they be and why?
