  • I understand wanting smoking free generation but don’t think this will work.

    People will always find ways to get it, whether legally or illegally obtained. If they can’t get it from the country they’re living, they’ll purchase it overseas. If they can’t purchase ut either overseas some might try to get it through illegal ways.

  • Honestly, I wish the system would just educate such people in “white hat” hacking (if that’d the correct term?). I mean, I have zero knowledge in hacking, coding and that kind of stuff but he seems really smart.

    What he did is definitely wrong but, he also said himself;

    "It was disgusting, it was greedy, it was rooted in my own insecurities, it was wrong in every aspect," he said in the interview, two days before reporting to prison.

    Now I’m also a bit skeptical because, he could also say this only due to him being caught, arrested and now sent to prison.

    It is not “can”, it is. Movies, tv shows and a lot of social media post do glorify crimes.

  • So when I think about dating, I also think about the long term. In my religion, Islam, we say there are only two genders; man and woman.

    Lets say, I have a relationship with someone who is non-binary and we get children (long term thinking). We would clash with raising the children. The person would say “you can be non-binary” to the children and I would say “no, in Islam. That’s not how it works”.

    If we already have such a different opinion on gender roles and names, we certainly would’ve different opinions on a lot of other things as well.

  • I don’t care much, I just like to read opinions. However, I understand you don’t like my opinion and therefore are trying to agitate me. Which is entirely fine, it is the internet.

    Though, for what it is worth it. I don’t think people who care about “with kind of color someone is” would consider me white, lol.

  • No, don’t think I would. Because it would probably clash with my religion and beliefs.

    EDIT: I blocked the guy, that commented on me. So if someone decides to comment on these replies, I won’t be commenting back. I’m willing to chat but refuse to entertain trolls, baiters and people who want to argue to just stir things up. Not worth the time, energy and effort in all that.

  • I have not checked your mod log and I won’t because… I just don’t care (you’re a stranger anyway, lol). However, personally, I consider Lemmy a Reddit 2.0 but then more into technology.

    You will get banned or blocked for the most random thing or having a slightly different opinion these days. The world has just become that divided.

    That’s why I recommend to just block and avoid every political and news communities.

  • The only way you truly get ownership over an software or game is through piracy. Any other way in theory (I think?), they can still just take away the game and/ or software from you.

  • Depends on how you use Spotify and your stance on Piracy but you could sideload (both IOS and Android) the Spotify app (so no restrictions and zero ads) and use Spicetify on PC and Mac.
