  • Fedivese only 2 years on (Lemmy + Mastodon) Left reddit when the whole API bullshit started.

  • If I forget about it, it can take all day to finish a cup.

  • A good knife sharpener. For 100 USD you can get very good ones, but even a 10 USD/EUR one can make a huge difference.

I found a great one and bought multiple of THESE, it is truly amazing. The suction cup design is genius.

  • Same. Also when I set rules to send stuff to specific folders sometimes I cant see them there, but if I search for the email specifically it finds it. WTF?

I found out by accident, when I was checking a new daily report and some dates were not visible in the folder, but I could find them via search.

  • The search function is useless

  • This is a nice thought. I love a nice looking game, but as long as it runs smooth and I can enjoy it IDGAF what setting is on max or medium, probably 9 out of 10 I wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyways.

The ray tracing is a great example for HW marketing bullshit, where you get nicer picture, but much slower framerates and requires crazy expensive hardware, but its all the buzz, everyone is obsessed with it. I mean Im not an expert but wtf is going on with the GPU prices its not normal.

  • Just don't understand people looking at screenshots and gameplay videos and commenting on how the shadows on some background detail look slightly better with the FSSMGXTR scaling setting turned to BBXT5 instead of HAMndX3.

  • Keep your secrets sensei. You get no more attention from me. Happy gatekeeping, or trolling or whatever this supposed to be.

  • Should all new Linux users get through 10 distros and years of trial and error, before settling for one they like the most?

Imagine you want to leave MS and windows behind and are greeted by comments of your caliber. Then please provide an alternative starting point, elaborate, be helpful.

This is just passive aggressive my dude.

  • They are probably the best distros for newcomers. I think its an absolutely valid comment.

  • While I love the original version, Seethers cover of Careless Whisper is one of my favourite songs ever.

  • Comment section is the real MVP

  • Used full sized all my life, went TKL a month ago and love it, probably never go back to full size. I barely use the numpad on my personal pc anyways.

Fuck all the gatekeeping, choose whichever you like.

  • I own multiple Victorinox pocket knifes, mostly Tinker.

My current EDC multitool is a Nextool BlackKnight. Its a budget option I bought to help with some more serious stuff in my current DIY projects, so I can abuse it without thinking about the cost. It has a great blade and very strong scissors, super happy with it.

On top of that I love retro knives, my latest one is a traditional Hungarian handmade shepards knife, similar to the ones here.

  • No I did not watch 100 hours of EDC videos to find the perfect multitool with a selected high quality components and dozens of functions to just let it sit in my drawer or pocket.

I did all this in fact to use the damn thing!!! Sometimes even more than once a week!

  • Most thermostatic (non-digital) mixers can be calibrated to a single "default" temperature, but you still have the option to increase/decrease.

I have experience mostly with europen models, where the default is usually around 38-40 celsius, but you can still adjust it about +/- 6-8 degrees.

There are some fancy digital showers with multiple user profiles, but I personally would never buy anything electronic in the shower. It never lasts in my experience.

  • Joke aside, get a thermostatic mixer. It can even save you water and money by instantly getting the right temperature water instead of standing outside naked for minutes juggling with a settings, while the water is on.
