And one reason for it being like that in that area is the extremism that has evolved from the US and other countries playing with it like a dog plays with a dead rabbit.
Qwant is so bad IMO, I tried to use it but the results just suck. I kept having to use Google or DDG to get better ones. Only truly great one is Kagi but since they're US based and I can't afford the monthly cost (even though it's low) I don't use it anymore.
And yet again, the never ending confusion over "why the fuck is everyone choosing to see ads?" question comes up.
When I came here to Lemmy I really thought I'd never se any posts about complaining about ads because all you need to never see one is having the tech literacy just slightly above grandma level.
Yet here we are, with weekly posts like this.And to be clear, I absolutely agree with the comic but it's most if the comments here that's the issue. Why are you people not even firing a single brain cell to decrease the amount of ads you see? They're clearly an annoyance, but they're also INCREDIBLY easy to get rid of.

I don't think it's the reason here, but he's not very liked by other actors with dwarfism/short persons. He's basically worked hard for and succeeded in getting a monopoly in Hollywood for short person roles that is anything other than playing fantasy/sci-fi roles in full suits.
I've seen interviews from several other actors with dwarfism who all strongly dislike him and this whole thing.
And please tell me if any words I used here are not ok, my understanding right now without having the time at this very moment to look up and learn all the generally accepted terminology for short people and if there's a better gender neutral word for actors/actresses, are the words I used.
