  • "This comic made me remember a Darwin awards case I read a while ago"*

I'm just trying to teach grammar and spelling, not busting your balls over it. It's clear English isn't your first language, same as me, just showing the correct (I think) way to write that sentence. You did nothing wrong, I just saw an opportunity to show improvement and hope it helps. Continue learning, of course not only English grammar and spelling but everything in life.

  • breathe*

This seems to be the new word that people are unable to get right.

  • Never seen those, and did a fresh install recently too. And zen has a lot of customization options, it's also so damn well designed and is great to use.

  • I have such a hard time with this. I just can't get myself to be ok with repeating the same shit over and over just to have a kinda normal life.I know this is partially because of my anxiety, which makes my body be in an almost constant state of "this is the last day so nothing matters other than survival" or "this is the last day so consume and spend everything you have as tomorrow won't exist", but it's also something I just don't like. I can't stand the repetition and no matter how hard I try to keep a "normal" life with cleaning my apartment, keeping a good sleep schedule, saving for stuff, have any sort of long term feeling for anything it just doesn't click.I've always been in survival mode and even after close to 20 years of long term sick leave and doing my best all that time to get away from that it has never even come close to happening.

  • The maker of that image must be 14 at most.

  • Some suck, sure, but some work well. The ones on MacOS are good IMO, and some android ones (while others absolutely suck).

  • Top tweet (or whatever it is, IDFK): Good global idea.

Second tweet: "OnLy ThE uS eXiStS"

It would have been so easy to word it different to make even a hint at being aware of the rest of the world, but we know that would never have happened. Because 'Murica brained.

  • Best solution: throw the bricks at fascists and then used those, including the fascist blood, to build! You can mix the blood with mortar to fix the bricks that broke when thrown at the fascists.

  • Isn't the original family hame of Trump "Drumpf"? Either way, Rump is better than both of those.

  • There's definitely gonna be a lot more dogs than cats in hell. If we go by the rules of the bible, killing a human will make you go there and a lot more dogs kill humans than cats do.

  • Wow, I haven't thought of Daring Fireball for over a decade. Used to read it often back in ~2010. Cool to see he's still around.

  • I'm disappointed it's not "Euroffice".

  • Don't think they'll do much against the audio, but that seems like it won't be much use by itself. Though that doesn't matter, it's the principle that matters, they shouldn't be allowed to record audio like that no matter how useless it is.

  • Gotta plug my friends games, not that they're unknown, just the first things that come to mind and they're all small to small-ish in size (I think they might even be under 20gb for all combined).

  • So many... Been on long term sick leave for close to 20 years, got major executive dysfunction with what's in my language called "handlingsförlamning" (action paralysis) where most things, even things I want to do, makes the gears in my brain just completely seize so it's impossible to do most things.

I want to play music, draw, paint, be creative in so many ways but that part of me just doesn't work. I want to get out and explore the world, no matter how locally but I'm stuck in my apartment 95% of the time. I want to read, take classes in things I'm interested in, bike, learn to dance, do pottery, etc.

Basically the only things I can do are play games, listen to music, watch movies and series and cook food, which I love doing all of and am happy I'm able to do. So I can't say I don't have stuff I enjoy, just dream of so much more.

  • My experience is the opposite, no one ±5 years of me (born '90) ever had their own computer until they were in their late teens, and only a few had that then, most only got their own when they started working. Now my younger half-brother (born '12) and most of his friends have their own computer and consoles. And we're very much not higher-middle class, many (including my family) are working class and barely scrape by. It's just a more important thing for kids now so they save money for years and ask for all their presents to be money for it.

  • "On reflection"

A lot of the world gas never needed to reflect on it, it has always been extremely obvious and clear as day, and not just in recent years.
