  • I'm not sure they measure things that much? Isn't it cut from this thing to that thing and the length isn't important. Then if two cut bits are going together then it's fairly malleable stuff, plus it organically repairs. At least that's my guess, in case a surgeon isn't able to reply.

    Taking a cat on a camping trip is hardly an ecological disaster. Permanent outside cats in the wrong places might be depending on where you live, but this post is just not comparable.

  • It's a bullshit job though. Do you refuse to use elevators because they no longer have attendants? Having worked on a checkout at one time, it was always depressing. Plus there were other tasks that could be done and most people you deal with are awful.

    People making the same old quips also make the job that little bit more unbearable - "must be free", urgh. Seriously you are not gods gift to comedy with these jokes, workers hear them 100 times every day and it is like some kind of compounding psychological damage each time.

  • Nestle produces a lot of other things than sugar and fat. So much in fact that it's actually hard to completely avoid them. The point is that they are a terrible company who does bad things, so you should boycott them.

    Also, people can indulge in sugar and fat if they want to.

    Little edit on that past point because some people don't understand indulge doesn't always mean over indulge, or they outright think I'm deranged because I might indulge in a chocolate bar as a treat in my otherwise varied and balanced diet and I suggested others might do the same if they want to.

    I understand too much fat and chocolate is bad, that doesn't mean the world should never eat things that might be bad for them in moderation, relax.

  • Indoctrinated is precisely the word I use to describe my pro military upbringing. Many people join young, realise what's up and leave after minimum terms. I have no shame in saying I was basically brainwashed when I was younger.
