    What I find offensive is judging art on how much visible "effort" non-artists think went into it. That's not how that works.

    Owning a piece of art is a luxury, nobody NEEDS it, it's not food or shelter or anything necessary for survival. Pricing is purely a matter between seller (artist) and buyer, I don't see how "ethics" come into it (other than when buyers are trying to shame artists into lowering their prices to a point where they can't live off their own work anymore).

  • "Look at this cool thing I found!" It can just be nice to share stuff with other people. There doesn't need to be a deeper reason, it's a function of humans being social animals.

    This includes motivations such as wanting to discuss the thing with other people, to compare your own view with theirs, or simply to satisfy the need to yell at someone.

  • Had the same initial reaction, then I gave it a second try and I was in by the end of season 1. I roll my eyes when people say "it gets better after a while" but Lower Decks does take ~5-6 episodes to find itself. (Does Evil AI Jeffrey Combs do anything for you?)
